• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Updates?

Have there been any real changes to the '15, '16 or '17 RT from the '14? Thanks.....

    '16 RT's

So.......my '14 did the shake and bake between 3800 up to 4200rpm. Had the belt adjusted at the dealer and put in a Smooth Spyder belt tensioner. While better it still vibrated. I do a lot of highway traveling getting to our destinations covering several hundred miles pet day. That said I took...

    '16 RT's

Are the '16 RT's in the showroom yet if so has anyone test rode it yet? Seeing if the '16 show any improvement with lessening the vibration through the dreaded shake zone. thanks

    F3 Vibration

Here again I agree. Brought my RTL back to my dealer and all I get are deer in the headlight looks. They tell me they know nothing about it and make me feel it's all in my head.

    F3 Vibration

I agree it's not speed but RPM's even on my RT Limited between 3800-4200 RPM regardless of my speed, it VIBRATES even with the belt tension set to the factory settings and belt alignment properly set. I've added the Smooth Spyder belt tensioner, it helped but it didn't solve the vibration...

    First Belt Alignment--Lessons Learned

Well timed posting. Just rode over 700 miles this past weekend all on the highway, the vibration between 3800/4200 rpm @ approx. 75 mph was enough for me to sell my '14 RTL. I'm going to call my local dealer this morning to have them check my belt alignment and tension followed by a laser...

2015 RT vs 2014 RT Observation

Not looking to start a long winded thread just something I found interesting this past weekend. Took a '15 Special Edition RT for a test ride, noted the '15 was quieter and vibrated less during the belt 'shake zone' as I call it around 3800-4200 rpm. This was as compared to mine with an...

    Trailer Wiring Help

Looking to pull my Hannigan trailer with my RT so need help with the trailer to bike wiring. I have the Can-Am wiring harness already attached to the RT with the 4 pin connector and the trailer have a 5 pin connector, the difference is the brake wire. Bike side: Black - Ground Brown - Tail...

    Mileage Before Towing a Trailer

Purchased our '14 RT Limited, two weeks later with 200 miles on the odometer headed south pulling the 622 trailer fully loaded completed 4400 miles and 1 oil change. No issues reported on the Can-Am dealer's BUDS report on our Spyder.

USING THE ECO MODE 1330 Engine

I would agree on the mpg, with two people, the RT cargo storage max'd and pulling the 622 trailer loaded with the wife's foo-foo stuff for 4400 miles we averaged 39mpg. We traveled with a couple on a GL1800 Gold Wing same load and pulling a trailer, we both were within tenths of a mile per...

    Laser alinement in the N-East

Freedom Cycle in Concord did mine, BIG difference afterwards. Conversely my friend had his done there, they found it didn't need adjustment so there was no charge! Great Can-Am dealer.

    Zumo 660 vs zumo 665

Yup snaps right in but will not play XM even after you plug in the puck, needs a complete cradle change to a 665 harness assembly and the puck or apparently just the electrical interface in the cradle and the puck. The puck is actually the radio.

    Zumo 660 vs zumo 665

So simply replace the cradle with the one for the 665 and install the GXM 40 antenna? Really? Which I'd known, I swapped out the entire cradle and wire harness then plugged in the puck.

    XM Satellite

You are correct, the Garmin harness that comes with the RT although has the XM puck mating connector cable and will allow you to plug in the puck cable it will not work on that harness. I wanted to be able to swap my 665 from my Gold Wing to my RT to listen to XM, I purchased 665 harness from...

    Entertainment System Audio Quality

Follow-up question, given the entertainment sound quality is marginal at best on the RTs or Spyders in general, has anyone found a better solution for their RT? Thanks!
