• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Adjusting stage 5's

Stock shocks, 5 settings, no big deal. These shocks have an infinite amount of settings. A little over whelming at best.

    Adjusting stage 5's

Thanks guys. I bought mine directly from Elka. Even paid extra for the upgraded red springs. I never got an adjustment manual.

    Adjusting stage 5's

I bought a set of stage 5's in the early part of this year. I now have them installed but haven't done any adjustment or fine tuning. Is there a step by step procedure in adjusting them? Any help from a stage 5 owner would be gladly appreciated.

How's this one. "How would it look if I let you take it for a spin when I don't let my wife"?

I know this is a common topic but "HEAT"

Installed the cover on the lower right vent and made a hole in the bottom to expel the heat. That didn't work. I removed the plate to vent out at my right foot. No change. The RT's temp gauge reads 3/4 all the time and starts creeping upwards at stop lights. No summer riding for me on the...

I know this is a common topic but "HEAT"

I recently installed a cat bypass and installed heat wrap on the exhaust. I don't see any change on how hot it gets. I guess it is what it is and it'll always run hot.

    why ride a spyder

Because it's a blast. I also own an Electra Glide Ultra Classic. My wife just doesn't feel safe on it. She loves the Spyder and I enjoy riding with my wife. Sounds like a win-win to me.

    VooDoo exhaust on my RT

voodoo exhausts I think it's a shame that most of the sporty looking enhancements are only designed for the other spyders and not the RT.

    VooDoo exhaust on my RT

VooDoo exhaust It was $589 for the exhaust. About $60 for 2 stainless steel downpipe tips and lastly about $100 to bring it to a welder to fabricate a new stainless steel bracket for mounting. Less than 30 minutes to take the stock one off and mount this one. It's obviously louder then stock...

    VooDoo exhaust on my RT

I wanted something with more appeal and sound for my RT. Nicer exhausts systems are limited for the RT. I purchased a VooDoo duel exhaust and with a slight modification came up with this. What's everyone's opinion?

Fox adjustable shocks for RT w/ price and PN

When i first bought my rt, it rode and handled like crap. Had to fight to make the slightest of turns. After riding my arms were jello. Installed Baja rons anti sway, then installed shock relocators, finished with Elka stage 5. Rides and handles like a charm now.

Changed the oil and now in LH mode.

Thanks Doc Thanks Doc.... In limp mode it wouldn't go up to 4000 RPM but I opened the throttle and about 20 seconds later, the RPM's shot right up. Problem solved. Just need to work on the brakes and install my newly configured Voodoo shotgun exhaust. Yes that right, on an RT but modified...

    Shock Relocater

never mind How stupid can I get. The lower part of the shock was still the old nut and bolt from the factory. It's a little dark in my garage so I just kept putting different size socket by touch instead of looking closer. I pulled out the flashlight and noticed it's a hex head bolt. Sorry for...

    Shock Relocater

I installed a Pitbull shock relocater about a year ago and now it's time to upgrade the shocks to a set of Elka's. I had no problem installing them but now I can't figure out the socket size on the nut and bolt that came with the kit. I've tried SAE and metric and nothing fits. Does anyone know...

    Wheel size

Does anyone know if the RS wheel will fit on the RT? 2010 models. It seems there are a bunch of after market rims for the RS and don't really see any for the RT's. At least they aren't listed specifically for RT's. :dontknow:

    New stuff

exhaust The voodoo exhaust was a test fit only. The support bracket needs to be an additional 1 inch taller so the exhaust will sit a little lower and follow the angle of the rear box. I'm bringing it down to a fabricator to extend the bracket. its just a shame that us rt owners are limited to...
