• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have experience with the Kamp-rite cot tents with a trailer?

My Wife pulls a Lee-sure Lite while I pull our gear trailer, but for solo camping trips I have considered building a trailer with a Cot Tent mounted on the top.

Something to carry my dog in???

We had a custom built trailer for our English Setter until she passed at 15 years old. She rode thousands of miles with no problems, the trailer was built by a company that made much larger trailers for hunting clubs and trainers. It was not cheap, but what is your dog worth to you? My wife...

Planning a Pacific Coast Highway trip - looking for suggestions

My wife and I have ridden the PCH at least a dozen times in the last 10 years, our first time was on a brand new 2013 RTL we had bought 2 days before and was our very first experience on a Spyder! Now we are on our 3rd pair and last summer I rode mine to the Artic Circle solo as she did not want...

My wife and I both have over 100,000 miles of actual experience pulling camper trailers with our Spyders. Over the last 10 years, we have had several pop-up tent trailers along with gear trailers. I pulled our Aspen Classic at 465 lbs. on our Coast-to-Coast trip that covered 11,000 miles, 26...

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

I made it to the Artic Circle but not without some issues that involved mud, a stretched belt, help from a fellow Spyder rider, and a phone call to Shawn Smoak. Had a great time, some highs and lows, and would probably do it again. I’ve stayed in some great Motorcycle Only campgrounds, some...

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

I read about her trip when it was first posted and was one of my inspirations on doing the ride. My wife and I had signed up to go when Murphy Brown did her ride north, but my work got in the way. I read it when it was first posted and was one of my inspirations.

Another Bucket List Ride (Arctic Circle)

Just read the thread about 'How long was your longest one-day distance ride?' My wife and I have had several over 800 when we were both working and only had one or two weeks of vacation and needed to get to point B from A. After we retired, we started to slow down and smell the flowers. In 2019...

Check out my Can Am Trailer

Very nice trailer. I built our kitchen gear trailer using a small Harbor Freight trailer that was 40" X 48"; total weight of ours completely loaded with all gear and 7 gallons of water is 380 pounds, and that includes the solar panel and battery bank for my wife's Cpap machine. I pull the gear...

Looking at dog carriers. Anyone have any advice?

I would recommend a trailer instead of a carrier, they would have more room and you can get a insulated one so they dont get over heated or cold. We had one for our English setter and she rode over 50,000 miles in her trailer without any problems.
