• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What brand of coolant/anti-freeze is BRP using?

SportsterDoc, just letting you know that you got your brake fluid numbers mixed up.

    Problem with feral cats

Cats like to be higher up than the surrounding area to look for food or approaching danger. Maybe build them a better perch than your spyders or put tarps on the sides so they can not look around as much? Had a similar problem with my UTV. I put a weakened mouse trap on the seat, it worked but...

    Transmission plug stripped. UGH!!! Help

I have had good luck with hammering in a slightly bigger torx bit in a stripped out fastener head. The hammering seems to help shock it loose. Your results may very. I take no responsibility if the project goes sideways!

    Stripped out handlebar bolt :(

I think Merlot has the best method at this time (nut would also work ). A Tig welder would be ideal, just make sure to unhook battery and ground the welder to the handlebars.

    998cc Changing the shift shaft.

I would line up marks, tap it on, over tighten bolt and call it done. The splines do not look that bad unless they are gone on the other side of the shaft. If need be go one size bigger on the bolt that clamps it to get a better squeeze on it.

14K service and OOOOPS! I don't think this is good!

Oldtimer51, how did it go with BRP? How many oil duct screws got tossed or inadvertently wiped off the drain plug and never seen or still stuck in the motor somewhere? Makes you wonder.

    Wobble at 45

My 2011 had the same problem. Tires looked liked new(Kendas). Had them balanced twice, problem persisted. Switched tires and wheels side to side(reversed rotation) problem gone. Put new car tires on front end of problem!

Which is best for storage this winter?

Ethanol free I use ethanol free in all my small engines, bikes, snowmobiles, and my 1972 Olds with no other additive for winter and summer storage. My friend does the same, never any problems associated with gas. We have used this method for a number of years now.

    Front Shaking

Front tires My 2011 RT was doing the shake at 45 mph. After balancing little improvement, swapped tires and wheels from one side to the other and shake was gone. Stock Kendas looked like new and were wearing evenly across. New front tires end of problem (not Kendas).

    2013 spyder rt-s sm5 clutch

Seems like your clutch master cylinder needs a good flushing or taken apart and cleaned and if that is gunked up the slave cylinder will need attention too. Low mileage, age, and lack of use can cause problems.

14K service and OOOOPS! I don't think this is good!

Oil galley plug I have a couple of two wheel bikes I ride when I am by myself. The RT get used when the wife and I go on overnight or local day rides. I plan on keeping the RT for the long run so if any thing changes or happens I will report back. Chuck

14K service and OOOOPS! I don't think this is good!

Set Screw My dealer did not give me the option to have BRP warranty the job and that was 4 years ago. I will roll the dice! Last I checked it did not look like oil was pushing through in that area.

14K service and OOOOPS! I don't think this is good!

Set Screw Found mine on the magnet 10,000 miles ago, still working fine.(also a 2011 RT) Did not see the need to tear it down for just for that plug. Do you feel lucky?

    Front tires question

Tires installed Look like a nice quality product! Fresh stock made this year, run quiet, smooth, stick to the road nice and very little weight to balance. Will have to wait till I get caught in the rain to see how they perform on wet roads.

    Front tires question

Vredestein 165/65/R14 BLUEKNIGHT911 what model tire were you looking at? I value your opinion and you do a lot of research on tires. My Kendas are wearing fine but have a 45 mph shake that can not be balanced out. I reversed rotation and they work fine as long as it does not rain! Time to...
