• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Serial Posters

I don't think the original issue is actually a persons post count. It's about how they get the high count numbers. I agree that friendship on the site is a good thing and positive reinforcement is also good. However when people post on threads (especialy technical threads) that they have little...

    Why was thread yanked?

This is how I fixed my heat and over active nanny issue! If your waiting for BRP to bail you out of this mess, you'll be waiting for a long time. It's easier for them to drag it out and eventually it will go away or be minimized. BTW.. DrewNJ is correct that you can't take these threads too...

Looking for after market muffler and shocks for 2013 RS Spyder

A 2013 Spyder RS does not have adjustable shocks. That is one of the changes in 13. I bought a lightly used set of RT shocks to put up front and they made a big difference. I'm sure there are plenty of RT guys that have swap their shocks out and have the stock ones laying around. Just post a...

So long Spyder, It's been nice know'n ya (kinda)......

Congrats, those are great bikes as well! I agree with the "have to muscle thru twisties". My new machine just flows through turns with little to no effort. While owning the Spyder I forgot they make bikes that you can get 200+ mpg out of.. Lol..

So long Spyder, It's been nice know'n ya (kinda)......

Your absolutely correct, but the interesting thing is I'm 6'6" and am very comfortable on it also. It's a bike that really fits anyone.

So long Spyder, It's been nice know'n ya (kinda)......

Well I'm over my Spyder phase and back to two wheels. It was a tough decision to move on, but the nanny and heat issues were my deciding factors. I'm glad I got to chat with and meet some of the Spyder crew. I wish everyone on 2013 Spyders the best of luck getting their heat issues resolved...

Smooth Spyder Tensioner - Advice needed

I have a 2013 RS with the Smooth Spyder tensioner. When I first installed it I adjusted it to about 12#. I didn't get a vibration, but I did notice a whining sound at higher speeds. I adjusted mine down to about 7-8# and had vibration, then to 9-10# and it seems to have done the trick. As for...

    My latest farkle

Nice rack!! Lol.... No really, you did a great job on that mod. If I didn't know better I would have guessed it to be a bought rack. From one fabricator to another, good job.

Transition from Two Wheeler to a Spyder

I decided to buy my Spyder for a couple of reasons. First I have a bad knee and I wanted to buy something for a "long term bike". Second (and more to your point) I was riding home on a motorcycle in the rain and got ran off the road on a curve by a woman that was half way in my lane. I did...

    TRIKES = 3 WHEELS

I don't care which definition you live by, a Spyder is not a true motorcycle. I like my spyder a lot, but it's not a motorcycle, it's a trike. Technically it's a reverse trike! On the flip side a Slingshot is not either. It's a freaking three wheeled car (Batmobile)!

How soon do you think they'll be ready?

    Drive Belt Tensioner

I have said the same thing over and over. It doesn't help that a lot of people buy things with emotion. People pre-order and put down payments on new model Spyders without even knowing what the end cost will be. It's the same with aftermarket parts. Not to mention the Spyder market is a small...

    Is facebook replacing Spyderlovers ?

I do not know Scotty, but I can say that I'd take the tech information of DrewNJ over the majority of the members that offer "tech advice" aka their opinions.. I have to agree with DrewNJ that the technical information is very limited and confusing on this site. There are members that know what...

We are developing a new windshield for the RS

I'm currently looking for a new windshield for my RS. I am 6'6" and about 270lbs so I'm having a hard time finding something that will not give me helmet buffering and provide good wind/rain protection. I currently have a MadStad which is a good windshield, but it's not quite large enough to...
