• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Reverse gear actuator part number

MANY thanks, Rick. That was EXACTLY what I was looking for!:yes:

    Reverse gear actuator part number

Greetings! Does anyone out there have a good part number for the reverse gear actuator on a 2014 RT Limited? I tore it up accidentally backing over a tree stump in my yard. I've tried to rebuild it, but it still won't engage with the motor/gear assembly inside the actuator itself. The...

Any DIY owners in Whidbey Island area?

I simply do not have the facilities to change or even remove my rear tire. I did call Clem's and their rate is now $140 to remove and replace a tire if I carry one in. That's a full $100 less than either of the other dealers so I'll be making a trip down there. The best price I've found for the...

Any DIY owners in Whidbey Island area?

Thank you all for you input. I will look up this dealer in Enumclaw and see if they still have that great price.

Any DIY owners in Whidbey Island area?

I recently moved to Whidbey Island and am in need of a new rear tire. I prefer to purchase a Michelin and have it mounted, but the nearest dealership wants to charge me $250 for labor. So I'm looking for someone who does this kind of thing on the side that lives in the area. I'm willing to pay...

Laser Alignment & BajaRon Swaybar Good to Go!

I have not taken my RT through twisty turns since installing the swaybar, but as was mentioned in this thread, it makes a noticeable difference in reducing the whipsawing affect you feel in crosswinds and truck air-wakes. I also suspect it will help reduce the drifting and bobbing that I...

Laser Alignment & BajaRon Swaybar Good to Go!

Absolutely! I would ride 200 miles to perform maintenance on my bikes with someone knowledgeable and trustworthy as opposed to having to take it in to my local dealership and hope they don't screw something up.

Laser Alignment & BajaRon Swaybar Good to Go!

Thanks to DocRiverside and his array of tools, jigs, lifts carts, and laser alignment system, we were able to replace the OEM sway bar, change the oil, adjust the drive belt tension & position and perform a laser alignment. I must say, the drive belt alignment is not for the faint-hearted - at...

    Entertainment System Audio Quality

For me personally, I have a much different opinion on our 2014 RT Ltd's audio system. We have owned a 2008 & 2009 Goldwing, as well as a 2011 Road Glide Ultra. My wife and I both think the sound quality of the RT is MUCH better than any of the others. We have only used the radio & Garmin mp3...

    Deer vs Spyder

That is amazing. I know you both must be hurting like hell right now. But I hope you both recover fully & quickly.

    F4 vs Madstad

F4 no, Madstad yes. I rode down to the owner's shop here in Florida to have mine installed on my Road Glide Ultra. It is designed and made very well and you can pick different sizes and tints. If you were to have yours shipped, I would give them a call to get an idea of where to set your pitch...

9 Dead after Shootout in Waco between the Bandidos and the Cossacks

That is our country today - a culture of violence. And who pays the first responders, doctors & nurses to sew the survivors back together so they can go spread more violence next week? I'm getting so sick of all this I can hardly think straight.

Gasoline Octane for 2014/2015 RT Limited?

The pumps in my area sell 87, 90 & 93 octane. So, I experimented and found: 1) using mid-grade in 90 degree temps, I would occasionally experience knocking when slowly accelerating from a stop. The knock would dissipate once the engine was turning >1200 rpm. 2) using high-grade 93, there was no...

    Intercom - CB kit

LoL, I like that double your money back guarantee! After some consideration and talking with Docriverside, I agree that going the Sena bluetooth route is actually going to be the most affordable way to go. I should be able to sell the Edsets and apply that toward the SMH-10's. One thing I will...

    Intercom - CB kit

So my wife and I already have the Edsets that we purchased for the Harley intercom system and really like the quality of sound they produce. I have priced the intercom/cb kit for the Spyder (cough, sputter), but am still considering getting one. However, I would really like to see and hear one...

    Another New Owner - 2014 RT S, SM6

CONGRATS! I just bought mine a week ago, so I understand the excitement. These are incredibly sophisticated machines and very well-made. I'm sure you will enjoy many thousands of miles of smiles. As for farkles/upgrades, I intend to install the sway-bar and bump-skid. I live in Jacksonville so...

Any North Florida riders have the intercom/cb installed?

Before plunking down more than $800 for the intercom/cb kit, I would really like to see/hear it on a Spyder first. So, if anyone in the north/northeast area of Jacksonville has this system, I would be grateful for a "sneak-peek". Thanks!

And a 'nother one joins the crowd

Yup, after having a brief hiatus from the :spyder2: community, we have once again entered the fold - this time with a 2014 RT Ltd. I wanted the Cognac, she wanted red. She didn't like the Cognac, I couldn't afford the 2015 red. So, we do what all married couples do if they want to continue...

My New Ryde, Lamont's Detailer & a Question

VERY well played, sir. That would be my color of choice in the 2015 lineup. CONGRATS! Now for my question - do you know if that detail spray is safe for the matte finish paints? I have the '14 Silver.
