• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    THIS TAKES GULL

I went to Tampa last week to go fishing in the Bay and when I pulled in to get a Hotel, the Hotel I stopped at was where all of the BRP rigs were. 3 nice semis and around 50 Spyders, I walked over and looked to see what the numbers were and the one I looked at was 734 I believe. I may be not...

    Hydraulic Front Brakes Completed!!

You can not do that because of all the computer controlled items that links to the front brakes in conjunction with the rear. They all three have to work together to be able to operate the brain system correctly. This is not a typical motorcycle when it comes to its brakes.

    Hydraulic Front Brakes Completed!!

I did not weight the calipers which is most of your weight but I would guess all together is about 9 lbs including master cylinder and hoses which does not weigh much. The calipers are from the same manufacture as the others on the Spyder but not the exact caliper as they were made for Canam.

    Hydraulic Front Brakes Completed!!

It is just on that I currently sell for ATV racing but it is square on top so I am trying to get an oval type now that looks the same as the left side and polished lever as well. I can get it I just have to wait for it. I have not hooked the two wires up yet to activate the brake light but I...

    Hydraulic Front Brakes Completed!!

I have completed putting hydraulic front brakes on my Spyder. This system is separate from the foot brake and gives you true front brakes. Works great and is something that should have been there from the factory. To install once you have all the pieces is easy but you have to cut the black...

    Why steel????

I checked my files and EPA has now pushed the regulation to 2010 so you can still use plastic. In the future plastic can be used but it has to be a special type of plastic in conjunction with the cap and fuel lines. The test is a 10 month long test period by certified testing lab to see how much...

Has anyone put the aftermarket exhaust on yet?

I ordered on from Ken but have not received it yet. As soon as I do i will post my opinion but I do like the looks of the new one shown that has the X on it. The round one isn't for me though.

New grips and BrakeAway Cruise Control

Any grip has got to be better than the stock grips. Those are the worst grips I have seen on a newer style bike. I guess I have felt worse grips but these are not the best looking. To think someone actualy paid to have a mold made for those.

    Why steel????

If you notice it is more like you car gas cap not a typical motorcycle cap. Cars have had this regulation for a while now but it has just bee applied for motorcycles for 2008 models. EPA is not fun to deal with on the manufacturing stand point.

    Why steel????

The new 2008 EPA regulations are a gas permeable regulation and the metal tank is needed for that. The whole regulation is about vapors leaking from a tank and through the cap or breather. It is not that at cant be done with plastic it is just more simple to use metal because the standard...

Lamonster Review of the BRP Can-Am Spyder

Nice info, I agree it is odd when you first start riding this machine, if you have ridden motorcycles a lot. I got mine a few days ago after ordering in March and it was worth the wait. I never test rode one before I just ordered it from Twin Peaks Powersports in CO. and had it delivered to KY...
