• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Elio financials..!!

Elio a dream? The concept is ggod, the design makes sense. Been following it for about 4 years. Always the same mass e-mailing of a bright future and send us money to reserve a car. I have no money invested. Bring a few prototypes on a U.S. tour so I can see one and see it run. Clay models are...

Impressions of the 2014 RT with the SE/6

Tire pressure to reduce lean and roll Pretty stiff tire pressure just by my thoughts. Not knowing the machine is this within the normal tire parameters? I guess it would prevent side roll on the tires. And provide some resistance to the tire squatting in a turn. We agree on the automatic and...

Impressions of the 2014 RT with the SE/6

Modifications I think a bigger swaybar would work well. The stock shocks seem to do well for us two up. Was not sure if the Baja swaybar would fit a 2014. I know Corbin does a seat and backrest that has better passenger room and comfort. If not, I do have an upholsterer that can do a cutdown...

Impressions of the 2014 RT with the SE/6

Trigger pulling Bob - just need to recover from last year's sequester and government furlough. It chewed up my recreational fund!! Thinking leftover 2014 or a 2015. Reality sucks!! We are sold on the Spyder as the ideal two up touring vehicle for us. JB

Well.. Bikebandit.com doens't deserve any of our business.

Lost my business too. Wow, what arrogance!! Two or three wheels does not matter. A lot of threes used to be twos and would be fours if not for threes. I am proud to ride with my three wheel buddies. And wave at three wheelers. Wonder if they intend to remove all parts pertaining to Spyders or...

Impressions of the 2014 RT with the SE/6

Got a chance to test ride the 1330 ACE with the new 6 speed this week. Rode it in Boerne, New Braunfels, and San Antonio Texas. Thanks BRP for the demo days. Got both one up and two up time. 1) 1330 and transmission are fantastic. New clutch works great. Compared to the 2013 it is night and day...

    Trailering Spyders behind a motorhome

Don't own Spyders as of yet. So, I am putting the trailer before the Spyders a bit. Need to upgrade our trailer for general purpose. The 3500lbs is what I figure 2 Spyders and an open trailer would weigh. Probably add 1000lbs. for lightweight enclosed. I really do not see the need for a 20 foot...

    Trailering Spyders behind a motorhome

So, as we mature a bit, we are thinking of going on the road with a class C motorhome. Something 24 foot or less. Also, wanting to take 2 Spyders along. This will be a gradual purchase, over the next 7-9 years. Planning our retirement in advance. Anyway, If you put 2 Spyder RTs in a trailer what...

Test ride observations 2 up on the 2013

Waited a couple days to write this and think. We went to the South Texas Motorcycle Show and test rode a 2013 RT-Limited. The wife chose an RT with the floorboards all the way down to best fit her 5'10" frame. I am 5'9" and a pinch. So she is an inch taller than me. Initial seating position was...

    another front wheel trike thing

I-Road or the Piaggio MP3 on steroids Nothing new there in the concept. Just made it a bit bigger and enclosed it. I could easily see this as an alternative for the urban market. Goes along with the Smart Car. And I bet the accelleration is better. However, I agree that it might be difficult to...

    Test ride on Wednesday

Donec caught my old Yamaha In the Woods-Austin video at about 1:01 to 1:08 you sweep the bikes parked in the lot. If you look, my 1986 Yamaha Venture Royale is sticking out. Two tone brown and gold. I managed to stay hidden:) I had on a long sleeve red tee-shirt and a black vest. (Spoke too...

    Test ride on Wednesday

Returned from test ride Got to run around on an RT-SE5 Ltd. and an ST-SM5. Folks at Woods put on a nice demo. Hotdogs, hamburgers, and sodas while we waited and looked around. Got to mess with the modes and the stereo while waiting. I will say the stereo comes alive when you get the bass...

    Very discouraged

Jockey shift How about a piece of broomstick with an eyelet in the end? Maybe not for on the road, but as something to use in the garage. Clutch with left, put in gear with right hand. then move Spyder as needed. Sure would beat rope strung around to the shifter:) Something as simple as a cloth...

    Test ride on Wednesday

Heading up to Woods in Austin, Texas to demo days. Hope to spend some time on both an SE and an SM in the RT. Took the day off work to see if I can get some decent saddle time. Then the wife and I are going to try it at the South Texas Motorcycle Show. Hope the solo ride will make it easier to...

    The Ultimate Ride Adventure

Watching this closely - width and gangplank I never knew this type of cruise was possible. Thanks for posting. Wife and I are now saving to go in the fall of 2014. This year is out, as I just got the big sequester weinie. Oh well, If it gets the nation to a balanced budget it is worth it. We...

Lurker in Texas sticking his head up.

Thanks for the welcome. Yep I figured out South Texas Suzuki pretty fast. Choices are Kent Powersports, Woods in New Braunfels, Woods in Austin. I understand that the two Woods aren't connected any more. Austin is corporate and a multi-store chain. New Braunfels is single owner. Kent seems to...

Lurker in Texas sticking his head up.

I realize the Spyders are very computer dependent. However the SE must add to the complexity. I intend to try both auto and manual. I just remember reading about tranamission problems leaving riders stranded. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

Lurker in Texas sticking his head up.

Greetings from Floresville, Texas (a bit south of San Antonio) So, starting the journey down the three wheel trail. Currently on two wheels and love it. However, the wife and I are looking towards the future. Longer vacations and more miles with a need for taking more stuff. And although I am in...
