• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Longitudinal CG?

Hi all, Oddball question - does anyone know where the longitudinal (fore-aft) CG might be on a 2012 RT-S? I have a fair amount of wiggle room on the trailer and want to get the tongue weight right. Thanks, Randy Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Altitude Limitation????

My computer started throwing codes between 13.5 and 14,000 feet but ran fine. You have to shut down and restart below 13500 or so to clear the warning lights. Learned on Pike's Peak - 14,110 feet. The whole Spyder Ryder's club summited with the same behavior and no issues! Sent from my iPad...

    one ride was enough

Test drove the '14 thinking I wanted one. Didn't care for it. Terrible whine they said was typical of triples, didn't find the "improved" torque compelling. Would like the mileage, but can live without that. We'll ride the '12 a few more years! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What's up with that (besides the inside wheel)?

Harry, There was definitely clear air between the pavement and the tire; it seemed like 3 or 4 inches worth. The road was crowned, but not abnormally so. It was certainly a good object lesson. I must have been pushing it harder than normal. What was interesting was that it did not feel out of...

What's up with that (besides the inside wheel)?

It was a gorgeous weekend here in Colorado so out came the Spyder. We rode down to Apex Sports to pick up a pair of Scala G9's on Saturday. On the way home, nearly there, sitting at a light waiting to make a left turn. The light turns green, I hit it, not too hard, and make the turn. At the...

    Electrical Connectors

Hi All, Does anyone have specific Metri Pack part numbers for the various electrical connectors used in our Spyders? I can find plenty of suppliers, but knowing what to buy is somewhat confusing. I am particularly interested in numbers for taps (male/female connectors inserted between an...

    Tire Wear Mystery

Possibility? I read an article some time ago about why the left edge of motorcycle tires wears out before the right. Turns out the distance traveled in a typical left-hand turn (assuming you drive on the right) is 3 to 4 time the distance traveled on a right-hand turn. (Remember circumference =...
