• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330cc Sounds like a fan cycling on and off

My 2015 CanAm Spyder RT SE6 Limited is making, what I think, is a strange noise. During a short 50 mile ride on a fairly warm day, when I stop at a light, it sounds like a fan is cycling on and off at very short intervals. It does not sound like a fan at full speed. I have approximately 22000...

    Brakes

I have a 15 RT Limited and wanting to replace the brake pads. I am wanting to use factory pads but do not know what is included in the brake kits. Do these kits include the caliper screws and pins that need to be replaced according to the maintenance manual?

    Fog light

On a 2015 RT Limited, does anyone have any tricks on replacing the left fog light bulb? Update on replacing the left fog light. Thanks to two of my Spyder friends, we were able to get the job done by removing the frunk area. It was a lot easier, but still a pain in the butt. We were able to...

622 trailer inner wheel bearing seal

While at the Homecoming Event in Valcourt, Ca. I had the fortune to talk with BRP tech services people about finding a replacement seal for the wheel bearings on my 622 trailer. At first he did not understand why I could not find the part number, after he searched the Can Am manual, he...

    Canada trip

I went to see my insurance agent yesterday and we got talking about going to Canada. He ask if I had my temporary Canadian proof of insurance form. What's that? It's a form that your insurance company gives you to show when crossing into Canada. It lists approximate travel dates and that you...

    Front tires worn

I have a 2015 RT Limited with 7000+ miles. On a trip to South Carolina I noticed the front tires were worn more than me friends RT Limited with the same mileage. We went to a Spyder rally in Landrum, SC and have the alignment checked. It was found to be way out and was reset. After returning...

Tires were holding firm and was setting up to enter a turn which I felt I was entering it with too much speed.

    Braking

I have a 2015 RT Limited with about 6200 miles on her. The other day, while traveling on secondary roads, I had to apply the brakes harder than normal but not as hard as a panic stop. The bike dove and pulled hard to the right. It has not done this again. A friend had the same think, with...

Cleaning the reverse switch contacts on a 13 RT Limited

What I found on my 15 is it is all in the sequence. I need to hold the reverse button down then hit the paddle shifter. If you do it at the same time or in the opposite sequence it will not shift. That was the hardest thing to get use to when I upgraded from a 12.

    A very special thank you

I want to give a special thank you to Chico and Karen, and Gary and Gina from Omaha, NE. These are friends we met and made at Spyderfest 2014 & 2015. They invited us to visit them and they planned and executed a fantastic adventure for my wife and I. We left North Carolina on our 2012 RT...

    Considering Moving

Wake Forest My son and daughter-in-law live there and they love it. It's a quaint little town, with eclectic shops in the downtown area. Plus, if you yearn for the big city action, you are less than a half hour ride to Raleigh and Durham. We have visited there many times. In addition, there...

Clunk sound and out of balance feeling

Check the Heim links for looseness and recheck the torque on the bolts. If nuts are loose, I would recommend replacing them.

    Sway Bar removal.

I had mine do the same thing. had my wife rock it side to side while I laid hands on each component and I could feel and hear the klunking coming from the left Heim link. I decided to replace them with the metal links and fauna that the lower bolt was loose. I replaced the links and remember...

Have you tried removing the cap on the brake reservoir? Be careful, it can be messy if the reservoir is full.
