• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2014 Windshield Bracket Service Bulletin

Was riding for Taco Thursday and my windshield all of a sudden dropped and started flapping against the bike. Thank goodness I was doing about 40 and not highway speed. Now I am mechanically challenged but this is what happened. The center lower part of the windshield has a gold pin that...

On our way home from SITR, which was fabs, but twice now have had a high pitched squeal. The first pulling away from curb then stopped at stop sign. 2 days later decelerating at stop light and stopped at light. Was not touching brakes at time. Any thoughts? 2014 RTS. Thinking might be a...

Leaving tomorrow for SITR. Just wondering how much oil the 2014's drink compared to the earlier models? Would have to add oil between 500-800 miles on my 2011. Curious on what to expect.

I imagine this might be easily solved, but my bike (2011 RTS SE 5) has lost the trip A read out on my display..:hun:...I only have trip B. I noticed it last week on a short ride. I ran through the different modes on the screen and when I reached trip B to zero out the miles trip A seemed to...

    Engine Warm Up?

I realize this question is late in the game for me, but yesterday we went for a glorious ride and and my hubby said to let RT warm up before leaving. Since we are Harley folks as well, you always let the Harley warm up until the the top of the cylinders feels like a cup of warm coffee. I've not...

    BRP Called

So I have read of other forum members being called randomly by BRP but didn't really think it would happen to me. Since I have a 2011 RTS and pretty much problem free, I would not be visible to the Corporate Offices. But low and behold, we had a great 20-25 minute chat. She was very friendly...

    SHORTEE ANTENNAS

Curious to know if anyone has tried the Shortee Antenna from ESI. And if so, is it just a screw off the old and screw in the new? Or could I just purchase any type of short antenna from a motorcycle shop?? We've been trailing our RT and the tall antenna gets caught up in the door of the...

    EASY CHECK FOR CODES

Met an interesting Spyder Tech who fixed my RT while on vacation. (throttle body failure). He showed me an easy way to check for a code if something goes wrong with your Spyder and you want to see if it threw any codes. He said it's like Crtl-Alt-Delete on your computer. At the same time, you...

    Melted Oil Dipstick Threads

    EATING SPYDER CROW

So, a thread concerning excessive heat on the right foot was up and running a few days ago. I put my 2 cents in about coming back from a two week trip with a couple days in the 100's and not experiencing any more heat than from other bikes I have ridden. At the time I received a couple of...
