• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sadly the annual Rolling Thunder ride in Washington DC is coming to an end. The attached image is confirmation I received via email this evening. I have ridden several times and it is an awesome ride around downtown DC and doing it with 700,000 other motorcycles is an overwhelming...

New all time high mileage on my 998 RT Limited

I normally get 25 to 28 mpg with my 2012 RT limited while riding around. Today we cruised down to and around Colonial Williamsburg and when I stopped to fill up I had 2 bars left on the fuel gauge. I had ridden 158 miles since filling. Normally I fill at about 125 miles to be safe. I used...

    My cup holder mounting arrangement.

Tonight I took photos of my RAM mount cup holder. This installation came as a result of not wanting my holder on the moving handle bars as most of the available mounts for Spyders are designed to be done. This is on an RT Limited, but the idea could be adapted to almost any model Spyder...

    A Forum Enhancement ???

I belong to a couple other forums and two of them have the ability to "show new replies to my posts". Many times if you don't get back here for a day or more your post rolls off the backend of new posts and you have to dig for it to see if there were any replies. Is this a capability that...

Looking for after market replacement rear tire valve stem.

Anyone found a longer curved or shapped valve stem for the RT rear wheel? I'm looking for one that can be accessed from the side opposite the drive belt & gear. I have a new tire on order and when I get it mounted I'd like to change out the stock valve stem to something more useful. I do...

    Tire has gone missing

It looks like the Kumho ECASTA AST 225/50r15 is no longer available anywhere. I've looked all over the web and no one has it in stock. Even tire discount, the guys with the $81 and free shipping are out of stock. I'm grounded, I need a new rear tire. What are my other options. I don't...

Skyline Drive Ride 28 June - Short Notice

This ride is - Not for Durango Attendees :roflblack: I was going to participate in a group ride Saturday 28 June at work until I saw the sucky route that picked. So, a friend (2 wheel rider who thinks is sucks too) and I decided to do our own ride. We're meeting at Frost Diner...

Gave the Spyder a power wash and blow dry today!

Power wash was 6 mile long. Blow dry was 12 mile long, but still not long enough to get everything dry. On my way home today I got caught in a monsoon. :gaah:

    I made an observation

The last few time I've had the Spyder out for a ride I began comparing riding 2-up versus solo. The Spyder seems to have a lot more oomph (get up and go), better response at higher speeds, and the ability to do more thrilling maneuvers when riding without the wife sitting on the back. I also...

Got a new Top and New Bottoms for the Spyder.

We had to make a trip to PA this weekend. Our route takes us across US Route 30 from Gettysburg to just east of Lancaster. There is a fair number of biker shops along that route. I guess it has something to do with Harley HQ being on the same highway. :dontknow: Anyway we stopped at a...

Who is using BRP or SENA SM10 Bluetooth with Scala G9 Headsets?

These questions are for those that are using the BRP kit or SENA SM10 dual streaming Bluetooth with Scala G9 Headsets. If you are using SENA or other headsets, you responses will not help me. Who has done their own XenonDepot Extreme HID Install?

Questions for those that have done their own install of the Xenon Depot (KB Carstuff) HID kits. If your dealer installed yours, you probably can't answer the questions. Question #1 Did you install the extra relay harness that came with the kit? I couldn't get the headlights back in with...

    Coolant Leak

I have an unusual coolant leak on my 2012 RT LTD. It only leaks when cooled off and sitting for a while. Last month before my warranty expried I took it in to have it looked at. The service guys replaced all of the hoses and clamps. The Spyder was in the shop for other stuff as well for 2...
