• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Adios Amigos

The lure of returning to 2 wheels overcame me and I have traded in the RS for an HD Softail Slim. I truly wish I had the capital and garage space to keep both as the Spyder will be missed. My Spyder was a joy to own and kept me riding when medical problems had made 2 wheels unsafe. My RS was one...

    Cloaking device in working order

Must be, I had 4 vehicles turn left in front of me in less than 10 miles. One of which turned so close in front of me she had to turn onto the left side of the street, because had she come past the median I would have definitely hit her. Fortunately I always ride defensively and usually (at...

How to avoid the Troll tag

This advice comes from experience, not from my Spyder, but from owning a 2002 Indian Chief. That bike had issues that would make most of the Spyder complaints seem trivial (5 transmissions in less than a year as one example), and I reacted like many of those here. To top it off I had only bought...

    Oil Change Question

OK, I've got got all the Tupperware off, my drain pan in place, and I can't get the @$&¥%€ drain plug loose. I had my last oil change at the dealer and they either put this plug in waaaaay too tight (probably closer to 150lbs. Than 15) or they used a barrel of Loctite on it. Either way it's not...

    Spyder Diversion

I am in the process of purchasing some company for the RS in the garage. I'm buying a friend's 66 Charger, I've never had a classic car before and I'm anxious for the new challenge (first change will be to add AC, from Classic Car AC). Of course none of this has anything to do with Spyders other...

    To all the other old 2 wheel riders;

What would you say are the main advantages and disadvantages of the Spyder vs your 2 wheel ride? And if you no longer ride a 2 wheeler, do you miss it? For me, the big advantage of the Spyder is the stability, but in a sense that's also the disadvantage as leaning and countersteering are out...

    Spyderpops Review

Put on my Spyderpops Missing Air Dam and missing heat shield today, then took a ride. Before the installation, when riding with temps in the low 90's my RS would be at 5 bars within 10 minutes then stay there. After the installation the results as far as I can tell are the same (not saying 5...

How many beers fit in the frunk?

Getting ready to make a road trip to procure some of that sweet ambrosia the Atlantic coasters refer to as Yuengling Lager. Nearest outlet is about 95 miles away. I'd like to take the Spyder, but not sure how many cans I can fit in the frunk. Anybody know from experience, or would like to hazard...

    Hey Bajaron!

I couldn't help noticing a peculiar hole in your "states visited" map.:yikes: Are you a wanted man in LA and MS? We're actually pretty friendly down here (some fellow LA riders have already offered me invitations to ride with them), no need to leave that unsightly hole in your...

    Rats! Darn weather!

Weather was gorgeous here the past few days, so of course today I'm off and planned to take the RS on its' first 100 mile plus ride, soooo the skies are threatening and it's supposed to storm all afternoon. Oh well, next week. I'm just starting to get the hang of the three vs two wheeled...
