• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Insurance question

Is it normal for insurance companies to refuse paying for damaged accessories on motorcycles, even if such accessories were added for protection? With a recent accident, a family member has been getting the full run around and being told accessories are included on snow mobiles, atvs etc., but...

A bit more respect for Tupperware!?

I was listening to the sales people pitch the BMW F800GS over the R1200GS to my bro-in-law who is now in the market for a new bike after his recent crash. I won’t get into the details of the pitch, because it’s pretty irrelevant, but noticed the F800GS comes with a Rotax engine. It peaked my...

    Belt & sprocket replacement?

A friend of mine told me his dealer has been told by BRP that belt changes require subsequent spoken changes as standard, if belt damage was the result of pebbles or other objects becoming wedged in the belt! I can understand if the sprockets were somehow seriously damaged, but that's not the...

    Is it worth wrapping...

...the section of pipe leading to the cat? I already wrapped the headers all the way to where the cat and pipe connect but figured I'd ask, before I start putting the Tupperware back on. Thanks. :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Exhaust wrapping round 2

So after failing miserably last year and reading some posts on others wrapping the exhaust successfully, I decided to give it another run. last year, I was able to wrap the right side, but gave up on the left. So far, no better luck than last year. I can't seem to be able to get the wrapping...

    Where's the low beam adjustment???

I have a 2010 RT-S and the headlights are pointing too low. The manual says there's and HB and an LB adjustment under the panels on both sides. I definitely see the HB, but the LB slots are empty holes. Is there something missing or is there a different way to adjust the low beams?

    Should I be concerned?

I had the right side panel off and noticed a wire and hose touching the frame. I don't have any electrical mods on the bike, but it doesn't look factory either. My instinct says I should move it, but to do so, I'll end up tearing things down quite a bit, before I can get my hands in the area...

    Back rest or new seat?

How do you know which you need, if either? For those of you experienced riders who added a backrest or picked up a new seat, how did you know which was the right option? Well...outside of showing up to SpyderFest and riding different ones. I get pretty bad back pain riding and begin to feel...

    Anyone have AAA?

Anyone have AAA or comprable service for emergencies? Have they been able to support the Spyder? We called to get some information, but the support person didn't know what Can Am was, much less a Spyder. I know information depends on who you talk to, so I figured the folks on this forum would...

    Coolant leak and TB replacement

My RTs in the shop right now for a TB replacement. When we got back from our last outing, I noticed the coolant level had dropped from the max line to the min line and there were a couple of drops just under what appeared to be the overflow tube. The next day is when I discovered the rough idle...

    Expected Price For Spyder Sale

What should one expect to be able to sell a Spyder for these days? When I bought mine in April, I couldn't find a used one within 500 miles, almost all were dealer sales, so when I stumbled upon a local individual party, I jumped at the chance. At that time, I payed $1000 over KBB low book...

    Can-Am to Bluetooth conversion

I was just thumbing through the Aerostitch catalog and came across this:http://www.aerostich.com/bluetooth-on-a-budget.html Not sure how it would work with a CB, or quality in general, but thought I would post it in case someone was looking for such a setup, or if anyone using it would like...

    Which fuse....

... controls the batter tender connection? I just tried to connect a battery tender and got a small spark. Now, nothing happens when I connect the tender at it seems to be working. I've put a meter on the tender and get a reading, but don't get anything from the Spyder connection, so a...
