• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sprocket Recall - What's Wrong With BRP's Logistics?

Getting a little frustrated with BRP's response on the sprocket recall. We took my wife's F3-T in for the inspection of the sprocket in early September, as we planned several Spyder trips this fall now that the weather was getting cooler. Unfortunately, hers was one of the apparently small...

2017 Line Up - ST Benched?

It looks like Can Am announced the 2017 line up via a Tweet this morning. I've already seen Lamont's review of the Daytona edition of the F3. Like the new blue F3 and the Champagne RT. What seems to be missing in the 2017 line up is the ST... Any more news on that?

    More New F3-T Pictures / T-Thoughts

Came across a deal I couldn't pass up on a new F3-T for my wife while visiting Cuba, MO during Spyderfest. Thanks, Cowtown! Picked it up yesterday, and this is what it looked like this afternoon! Already installed - Lamont auxiliary lights - these install like the OEM ones should - in...

F3 Frunk Liner and F3T Saddlebag Liners

We stopped by our dealer yesterday on our ride home from lunch and saw that they had the Can Am saddlebag liners for the F3-T and a frunk liner. Since I had put Corbin bags on my F3-S, I was really curious as to which was larger - the Corbin bags or the F3-T bags. The answer is the Corbin bags...

    Engine Replacement Timeline?

Back at the end of January, a friend at work stopped me, somewhat out of the blue, to tell me that he and the wife had just bought a 2014 Spyder ST. Neither of them had a motorcycle license, but had signed up for an MSF class a few weeks later. (I surprised him in the same discussion to tell him...

    Some F3 IPS Parts

Ordered some IPS frame caps and the third peg on Friday morning, delivered on Tuesday and installed today. Since I moved to the F3 from a tall motorcycle, the step-over-the-saddle routine was fine with me, but the third peg will just make it easier to get on and off the Spyder. It will also give...

    Sirius XM Channel Tuning

I installed the BRP satellite radio module in my wife's 2011 RT this past winter. For those who have the BRP satellite radio module, do you have any issues tuning to a particular channel? Scrolling to a channel higher than about 17 is a crap shoot on my wife's Spyder - it keeps reverting to...

    Farkle Weekend

Busy weekend getting the F3-S ready to head to Spyderfest! Took all of the Tupperware off to install: - Power cord to battery for the heated gear connection - Garmin Zumo665. I put the satellite antenna under the forward portion of the dash console. I ran the power line back to the GPS connector...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

Picked up the Aux lights yesterday at Louis Powersports in Greenville, TX yesterday. It sure looked like a straight-forward installation. Remove the side panels, install the lights, install the switch, and you're good to go! I figured maybe 45 minutes, tops. 3 1/2 hours later, the job was done...

    Corbin Seat - Part 1

A big box showed up at the front door today! I ordered a heated Corbin seat with a single standard backrest that can go in either the driver or passenger position. Since the installation is a touch more than plug-and-play, I won't get it installed until later in the week. For now, a sneak...

    A Few F3 Farkles

Had the chance to install a few items on the F3 today - a Nelson Rigg CL-1045 tank bag and a Butler mug. A few more things to install... By the way, with the seat removed, the rectangular tube in the center of the picture below is an easy place for things like, say a pocket knife, to fall...

Ram X-Grip Phone Holder on the F3

Since my iPhone is my music source on the F3, and my GPS until I get my Garmin 665 mounted (waiting to see what Lamont comes up with for a GPS mount), I figured it would be nice to have it accessible. I had a Ram X-Grip on my previous bike. I didn't have any 1.25" dia U-bolts to mount it on the...

    F3 Storage

I have used my previous two motorcycles as daily drivers, which means taking a briefcase or backpack and a small gym bag to work. I took my canvas briefcase with me to the demo ride back in December to see if it would fit in the frunk of the F3. Not even close... It does fit in the frunk of my...

    F3 Made It Home

Big day for me as I said goodbye to my big German bike and then picked up my F3S. My wife and I put over 150 miles on it today. The first 100 miles were two-up, as her Spyder was getting new tires installed. Even without a backrest, she said the passenger seat was very comfortable. The next 25...

BRP Satellite Radio Kit Installation / Entertainment Harness Questions

My wife has a 2011 RT Limited. I could have sworn that it came with the entertainment harness. Does anyone happen to know if the 2011 Limited came with the entertainment harness as standard equipment? I got her the BRP satellite radio kit for Christmas. The installation was straight forward...

    F3 Demo and Frunk Size

Had a blast today getting to see and ride the F3 for the first time. The Can Am demo truck came to north Texas this week and they were quite busy today! Lots of interest here! Absolutely love this machine. Can't wait to get one! Had a pleasant surprise during the demo ride considering the demo...
