• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sydee got a "Boo Boo"

Was out for a nice casual drive Monday afternoon going approx. 20 mph through a quaint rural village when someone chooses to not stop at the stop sign. The bike that was following my "hunter" said he passed him back the road going about 70 mph and figures he sailed through the stop sign going...

    New Forum Section Needed................

It has become so painful to come on hear and listen to the moaning and complaining not only from "current owners" but it seems also from the "maybe owners" or better yet from the "ex owners". We clearly need a section where all the moaning and complaining can all be placed. That way if you come...

    Foot Board Engineering................

From what I understand the new factory floor boards have a "breakaway" feature that will literally pivot the board down out of the way if the travel on the brake pedal needs to pass below the height of the board? I actually had a self inflicted situation where my brakes needed bled but they were...

    Noise on Start-Up

Have a question for thems in the know! I have a 2011 RT-S SM5 with about 2500 miles on it. Oil level as checked via the manual protocol is bang on, the dealer completed the 600 mile service and of course it is not due yet for any additional service. When it has sat for 2-3 days and I first...

ISO Grips...............questions about "Grip End Accessories"

I am contemplating installing the ISO Grips over my stock grips. The RT-S are heated so I will be using the "clamshell style" grip that fits on the Goldwing. Will install as per the DYI Lamont posted when he installed them, mines an SM5 so should be a little simpler. Can I install the "Stilletto...

What has been missing all along.....

Had the Spyder now for a month and a half or so. Strictly purchased as a "stress reliever" for the wife and myself. What has surprised me to some degree is how little this thing rides and drives like a motorcycle? I am not sure if it was on this site or another but somebody compared a Spyder to...

Maiden Flight passed with flying colours

One of the reasons I traded all my ATV's and trailer in on a Spyder was a recognition on my part that I needed to put a balance back in the family part of my life. Before you give me to much credit, sadly I did not recognize this on my own but it was communicated "VERY CLEARLY" by my neglected...

2011 RTS SM5 First Ride impressions...................

Well it was supposed to rain for the next 4-5 days so booked the afternoon off work and went for a ride. Other than bringing it home from the dealer last Saturday have not been on a true "ride" yet. Went out and put about 100 miles on the old odometer. This thing is flat out just a whole lot...

    What to do first............

Need some help from the vast knowledge of the "Spyder Family". Pickin up my new 2011 RTS SM5 on Saturday. Left the world of off roadin (ATV) recently to take on a new adventure. I am hopelessly addicted to "Mods" and "Accessorizin" so of course the Spyder is no different than everything else...
