• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    It comes in three's...

Half city, half rural. It seems a Spyder pilots paradise. Working a night shift allows warm evening rides and brisk morning returns.... UNLESS... . . . . The rider's plague of three's chooses you as its next victim. 1. The racoon race- Full of attitude, slow, and hard to see at...

Early GS have T40 Torx drain plug

After doing yet another oil change, I promised myself I'd take a picture to clear and confusion on this issue as many have stripped out the plug. Many early model GS Spyders have a T40 in the case and an Allen on the reservoir. RS and late model GS appear to have the opposite. Perhaps the...

    Nuts and Bolts

Just a friendly reminder as its warming up on the east coast and us Westies are switching jackets... During cleaning I found mirror bolts mildly loose, windshield bolts less than snug and rock guards that needed to be retightened. I'm on a 2008 so just like Spyder riders, your bike might have...

Spark plugs and Wires from Bajaron are in!

Well.. I took it casual and the plugs and wires werent difficult. The oem plug wires were a PITA to remove though. The old plugs were the original 2008s with 11.5k on em and looked pretty well fried. Cant tell if im running too rich though... As I ride all year, I find myself trimming up...

    EPA Stamp pending in Kalifornia

Buy your Spyders before 2013... Can't modify with an exhaust over 85 db? Have to have some sort of EPA stamp? Half of our exhausts are 90db. A lawn mower is 90! Or a leaf blower.. We should ban those too! This is getting crazy. Jan 01, 2013...

ECU Adaptation ? Found on web...

Bumped into a Can Am dealer at a car show and they spoke of the surging that my Spyder had. Long story short, the dealer said they used the following procedure for resetting the ECU after upgrading exhaust, etc.. 1) Extended battery disconnect (1 hour) 2) Startup and idle for 15 mins - NO...

    Bought the HMF exhaust

It's for my 2008 GS. Rumor is that if you don't modify the intake you will minimize the problems associated with needing a juice box or o2 modifier. Seems like a lot of confusion as to some spyders working well and others poorly without much explanation as to how or why. I guess I'm the...

    Anyone install a gear/shift indicator?

It's so sunny down here that it's hard to see and I have to look down and low to notice the gear if I forget. Perhaps where the BRP logo is between M and S buttons? Whatcha think?

Another HD owner ready to take the Spyder plunge!

You have to love this bunch... They stand outside the store... Looking at it, and looking at it. You greet them and shake their hand (they aren't quite used to such a welcome) and ask how they are doing... I have a HD Ultraglide. Nice bike I reply. I'm in pain after an hour and the misses...
