• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Adios Muchachos !

My time in the Spyder community has come to an end with the sale of my 2017 F3-T. I've enjoyed all the insight, tech info and general banter on this site. After 17 yrs, 1 month and 15 days of motorcycling(the second go round) I'm now seeing the world through the windshield of our 2021 Leisure...

2017 F3-T oil filter housing leak after change

Just changed my oil and ran the bike for a few minutes to check for leaks. The oil filter cap is leaking a small amount. The cap is on snugly and I changed all the O-rings during the service. Any thoughts on where to start diagnosis?

Can AM F3 top case - any buyers regret?

I'm considering the $$$ purchase of the top case for my F3T. I like the look of it on the bike and the extra storage it provides. I'm also not interested in any other aftermarket solution after looking at all the other alternatives. Does anyone regret their purchase and what it brings including...

Health Insurance for us under 65

I'm wondering what folks are doing for health insurance if: 1. They retire before age 65 AND they do not have coverage through their previous employer AND they do not have coverage through their spouse. 2. ACA is not a viable option and won't be before I retire. 3. Going without any health...

Anyone have the Can Am Adjustable backrest on their F3-T ?

I'm looking for more room for my wife and I, and I've tried the Smooth Spyder backrest, which didn't give us enough room. I've thought about the MBL Innovations rack with a top box but I'm not sure that will be comfortable for a long distance ride. The Can Am adjustable says it gives the...

    F3T vs RT Limited - 2-up riding

I currently have a 2014 RT Limited that my wife and I ride. Our touring is 2-3 trips per year, pulling a trailer. Each trip spans 4-5 days and generally covers about 1000 miles. The rest of the miles we put on are usually day trips of 150-200 miles max, sometimes just around 100 miles and a few...

A new milestone for me today!

A happy day riding in the Ohio countryside with my wife. Looked down and just had to stop and get a picture. The best part is I've still got some vacation time available and tread left on my second back tire. I got this 2014 RT in mid-March last year and, now that I have some decent tires on the...

Trailer Hitch Install for 2014 RT

I was just told by my dealer that the installation of the trailer hitch is about a 4hr job and that it is necessary to remove most of the rear end to complete the wiring and hitch installation. Have I missed something or has the 2014 RT changed the way the hitch has to be installed?

Upgrade to a higher amp fuse or direct to the battery?

I recently acquired a Cyclepump and see that it needs to pull about 10 amps when running. I'd like to power it through the outlet in the trunk but the current fuse is 5 amp. What do you folks think of putting a 10 amp fuse in place of the 5 amp one? Or, should I just put in a direct connect line...

Upgraded from 2012 RT Ltd to 2014 RT Ltd

I made the jump today! When I saw the Silver Platinum Satin that did it for me. I got out this afternoon for a nice 67 mile run through the countryside around here and I am truly impressed with all the upgrades that Can Am has done. I love the new motor, trans, foot boards, etc. I'm also looking...

    New Ohio Spyder RT Limited

Hello All ! This past Saturday I moved on from my old BMW K1200LT to my new Spyder RT Limited. First impressions are very, very favorable in my first 240 miles. Kicking those two-wheel habits might take a bit but, the more I ride it, the more I like it. Looking forward to adding a few items for...
