• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Welcome Aboard!

I've been a proud Can Am Spyder RT owner for 9 years now, and it still amuses me when I get the "What the :cus: is that thing?". I've been pulled over by the police, followed until I stopped, and am quite used to having my picture taken by a cell phone. Although our ryding season is...

Need advice/info on Installing battery tender harness?

Hello SL Family! Although I don't really want to think of it, I do live in New England, and realistically, there isn't a whole lot left of a ryding season. I'd like to install a Battery Tender quick connect terminal, under the seat of my 2016 RTS Special Series, just like I had on my 2010...

    New Spyder

Last Sunday, my beloved Smurfette ('10 RT-AC) was totaled in an accident, mercifully no serious injuries. Nanny did her job, and as a result of that, the friend who was driving it, walked away with minor scratches. A few says later, after we learned Smurfette's fate, we went to the dealer and...

    silly question

A friend of mine is looking for a new seat for his wife's 2013 Can Am Ltd Spyder, and was wondering if that bike comes with either a standard or comfort saddle. Thanks in advance!

In search of parade flag holder

Howdy! Well, it's time for a spring spruce up for Smurfette (my 2010 RT/AC SE 5). So far, I've got a new saddle, vented windshield, drivers backrest, and trailer hitch. Will be having those installed soon. My question for everyone is : where can I find a parade flag holder that will...

    What would you do?

Hi Everyone! In April of this year, I will be attending HD Officer training in Providence RI. It's a nice little scoot from me, about 6o miles. I've been trying to convince my friend who is also going to ryde her Spyder there. Nah, we'll take a car instead she says. I say, :cus:it, let's...

    14k service cost

I just got my Smurfette (a 2010 RT/AC SE5) back from her 9k service, an ECM update, plus they found the source of a couple of codes, and cleared them. The bill was less than 250, so I was good with that. Her next service at 14k won't happen before next year simply because I am in New England...

    Baby's back!!!

Yay! Smurfette is home! She had her 9k service, an ECM firmware update, and they were able to clear both the P0136 and P0175 codes. Turns out the problem was a simple fix, loose battery terminal connection! Owning a Spyder is much easier and better when you have a good service shop!:clap:

Problems while on a ryde today..

My day started out awesome. We went on a toy run with our HD family to a destination in the western part of MA, ending up at a restaurant that has good seafood and delicious ice cream. After leaving, while on an onramp, I get the "Check Engine" orange screen, no limp mode. Light only stayed on...

Stalled out at a bad place

Hello, Everyone! I have a 2010 RT-AC SE-5, whose name is Smurfette that up until now has been relatively issue free. Aside from a couple of first-model year issues, like a couple of oil leaks, throttle body replacement, and a few recalls (none engine related), this has never happened before...

    2104 BBQ Date

Good Morning! The way my job is, I have to plan nearly a year ahead of time :cus:. Due to some upcoming surgery for my husband, I won't be able to make Spyderquest this year.:( However, next year I pick up another week of vacation time!!! Since it's only about a 1000 mile ryde, I was thinking...

    Winter upgade ideas for Smurfette

I know it's early, but I was trying to get some ideas together for some upgrades to be done on Smurfette in January/February. I find myself getting addicted to twisties, so putting in Elkas is definitely in the running, and the sway bar from BajaRon. I don't mind an extra firm ride experience...

    EBD fault screen

I went to start my bike this am, started fine, backed it out of garage, and she stalled at the end of the driveway. I got a restart right away. It then stalled 2x more.:cus: I figured it didn't like being put in reverse too early in the day. Then I got an EBD fault orange screen message, no...

    Stabil Ethanol treatment

Ever since I got a bad tank of gas about a year ago, every time I fuel up, I add gas line antifreeze/injector cleaner. Doing that has helped. While I was in an auto parts store, I noticed that Stabil has come out with an ethanol treatment. Has anyone used this in their Spyder, and if so, how did...

I think I might start a trend with this one...........

    Finally found a plate!!!

For a long time, I've been looking for a vanity plate for my ride, Smurfette. Since I already have a Smurfy reference on my pickup truck, I was looking for something different. Variations I tried on the word "trike or tryke" either didn't look right, or were unavailable. Some time goes by, still...

    CB Antenna question

Howdy! :opps: I snapped off my cb antenna while putting on a travel cover.:cus: Does anyone know of a shorter antenna that would work? The cb is the BRP system. Smurfette is a 2010 RT-A. Thank you, and of course ryde safe!
