• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Our RT SE-5 has a new idiosyncrasy . The last few rides have been in the 40 to 55 degree temperature range at the start. Before I back out of the garage I start it up and let it warm up at least to the point the Temp Gage just moves off the peg. It is 100 feet to the first stop sign then 5...

I had my RT-L 2011, SE-5 exhaust system piping wrapped in 1 inch wide heat tape fabric ti try to kill some of the under skin heat away. When I went to pick it up they had to drive it out of the storage warehouse and I thought that doesn't sound like my Spyder. But it was! Headed home I was...

    Winterizing

Being in Florida most of my motorcycling days the term "winterizing" strikes my curiosity. As when I was old enough to ride in IL back around 1957 I rode all year round except during snow fall or ice storms. On the days when it was impossible to ride I switched to trucking to school. So what...

I tried Turtle Wax "Ice" this week. Was very pleased with the ease of application, buffing out, dirt on the polish cloth that it removed. Also discovered a caveat due to the fan blowing. I got some on the windshield so I got a clean buffing cloth and rubbed it out. The results were a...

One of the members of our riding group has a new ride 2013 RTL SE-5. She is among those that are height challenged.
