• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Big Shout OUT TO JT's Machine Shop

Just got my Air Filter kit. Nice workmanship and attention to detail even in the packing of the item. Shipping was fast, in fact it took longer to clear Canada customs and get to Edmonton than the domestic travel. Thanks for putting out a quality piece. Can't wait to get it installed

That Flying Fickle Finger of Fate

Well so much for any ryding this next month or so. Aside from my S Drive tire not arriving for another 2 weeks, people at my work have just up and quite so I will be backfilling shifts and training up the new hires (if and when we get them). Sometimes it just doesn't pay to answer the phone.

    Happy Star Wars Day

Hello all, May the Fourth be with you. Here in wonderful Edmonton Alberta, wet snow is falling so no Spyder ryding today. Almost felt like winter was creeping back in. And of course the furnace has been on most of the day. Might not even get to ryde to work tomorrow if it accumulates any...

    No Danger Pay

As a retired service person (35 years) this has definately raised my blood pressure. Just an excerpt from CTV News At least sixteen Canadian soldiers who are being deployed to Kabul for a special mission next month have been told not to expect danger pay, despite frequent attacks in the...

Another great day with the Baja Ron Bar

Went out to our favourite trike dealer, The Trike Zone out in Mulhurst. Decided to take the QE II to get some real speeds. Love that bar!!!!. Set the cruise to 125 (k/ph) and just go with 2 fingers on the grip, too easy. This bar should be standard equipment.

    Another fan of BajaRon

Well, I went on a 400 km loop ryde today, in the wind, with my wife to see what effect the new sway bar would have. Heading into the wind it was obvious when we hit the first open field that the bike was being assaulted from the wind, but not like the old days. Even in the highest of gusts...

Where are all the Alberta Ryders

Ok, someone must have washed their Spyder and have incured the wrath of the gods. This weather sucks.

    Unhappy in Edmonton

Sitting here watching the SNOW falling on the Spyder. First day off from work and the weather is not playing fair. Tomorrow is looking like it might be 3 above, so who knows, may get a short ryde in.

    1'st ryde of the season

The roads were dry enough in these parts to get out and about for a decent 100 km jaunt. Now just waiting for the real Spring weather to arrive so it doesn't go below freezing at night. Looking forward to my next shift off and some positive weather to allow for some side trips.

    Listening to radio

I was out an about and came across one of those 20 minute trains that course through the city and rather than leave the bike running I hit the mode button and turned the machine off. Radio stayed on and then maybe 2 minutes into the tunes, the display shows limp home mode. I am stopped so no...

    Out and about

Was a great day for ryding, but we kept being interrupted when we were at stoplights by people wondering what it was and how much it cost. Told everyone to go to Martin Motorsports and check them out. Even had an opportunity at the coffee shop to hand out some literature and brochures for the...

Wind blew my lower deflecter off

It looked like it was a good day for a ride but the wind soon became what felt like gale force and I was having to slide the cheek over to one side to help control the bike at speed. Not at all fun for the 2 of us so we cut the ride short and stopped for some people fuel and I noticed that the...

    Suffering from SADS

Watching the snow falling and the temp hovering at freezing, wondering when spring will come. Can't even look at the Spyder as it's in storage at the dealer. Hope some changes come soon as it feels like the winter that wasn't has decided to show up now. All I can say is Grrrrrrrrrrr!
