• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamontset exhaust installed, along with sway bar and... more lights!

Just picked up Ruby, our 2015 RT-S, yesterday after having a boatload of parts put on. 1) Lamonster Performance Exhaust: I never liked the ACE engine note, in fact it was the one thing I really didn't like about the new bike (everything else was really great!). So I splurged on getting Lamont's...

Template for floor of Freedom Trailer?

Has any enterprising soul here actually made a template of the floor shape of the Freedom Trailer, for use in cutting some carpet to fit? The trailer floor seems to be about 33 inches wide at the tail and about 47 1/2 inches long, but of course has lots of little nooks and cutouts along the way...

    Upgraded today to a 2015 RT-S

We'd been planning to buy a 2016 in the spring, but Clem's had a nice red 2015 RT-S, priced to move out, so we picked her up today. Got a trailer too, so we can start taking the long hauls. We traded in our first Spyder, a 2011 RT-S with a few added bells and whistles. Now we need to add said...

    Will a 2011 seat fit on a 2015?

We're thinking about trading in our 2011 RT-S for a 2015 RT-S. I have a Utopia backrest installed on the 2011 which I like just fine (and I think would prefer to the BRP backrest). I could buy a new Utopia and install it on the 2015, but was wondering about the feasibility of swapping the 2011...

    Ladies helmets for sale

I have two over in the "For Sale" thread. :) Just an FYI for anyone in need... One new in box; one used but in very good condition. Cheers! Cynthia

Lynnwood Motoplex down for the count

:( Just paid Lynnwood Motoplex $3K to extend my maintenance contract, and got a letter in the mail today that they have dropped all BRP products. They have apparently switched to Polaris. While they say they will honor maintenance contracts, I sure don't want a Polaris tech trying to figure out...

Any options for cordless battery tender?

I have my 2011 RT in a house garage now, with a battery tender hooked up thru the trunk outlet to keep it charged up and happy. However, I may have to relocate to an apartment and park it in the common parking garage, where there are no wall outlets. Are there any options for a (for lack of a...

Winthrop and North Cascades Highway trip

Just got back from three days on the road with my lady love and our Spyder out to Winthrop and over the North Cascades Highway. A beautiful trip! Weather was perfect, and the drive was sublime. Looking forward to more great rydes this season!

New use for the trailer behind your Spyder

Swap out the bike here for a Spyder, and now you've got the whole family along for the ryde... As the original poster said, "Not a helmet among 'em. Hooligans!"

    Just...wrong.

    What Spyder ryders really do...

In keeping with the popular trend of making "what people really do" posters, here's one for us. ;)

Just because it's a slow time...

...and many of us can't ride due to the weather, I have to find ways to keep myself amused, which I do through my art. So you all get another picture! One more variation of the "future Spyder." :)

Holly and the 2016 Can-Am Spyder

As Holly finally got tired of waiting for Randy to buy her an RT, she decided to beat him at his own game. So she went out and bought a 2016 Can-Am Spyder RX. Here she is putting it through its paces. (Randy is somewhere behind her, still putt-putting on his ol' RS...) :D:D:D

    A silly battery terminal question

While waiting for my trunk outlet battery tender attachment to arrive (ordered by reading the other excellent threads here), I've been attaching my battery tender to the terminals under the seat using the alligator clips. In the process, naturally setting the little red cover for the positive...

Thanks, Joe, for a great Oyster Run!

Thanks for leading a great ride today, Joe! Radgirl had a great time, and met some new friends too. Looking forward to more rides with the WA Spyder troop! Here's a few of the pix we snapped today: Stopping for breakfast in LaConner: Spyder lineup on the main drag in Anacortes: Our RT...

First Big Trip Completed - Two Days Around the Olympic Peninsula

What a blast! While a 'short' trip by the measure of some of those more experienced folks out there, this was our longest open-road experience so far since acquiring "Sharky," our RT-S, in July. We left Monday from our house, about 13 miles northeast of Seattle; drove through Tacoma; across the...

Perhaps you might want to reconsider... :D Just a little something for all my Spyder friends here... ;)

The Five Ryder Gang rode today

That's five Ryders and two Spyders. Radgirl and I teamed up with draboo (Brad) and his wife Pat, and their sidekick Kiddo, for a two-Spyder cruise up Chuckanut Drive in northwestern Washington state. It was a gorgeous day for a ryde, as we headed across the farmland and then up through the...

    Careful with the clock...

At least that's the answer from BRP, via my dealer... First, the backstory. Purchased the CB Comm system and Entertainment Harness, and had the dealer install them. To do so, they also disconnected the battery (makes sense). When everything was buttoned back up, the clock of course was not set...

BRP should add this to the RT Limited as a new accessory

Don't know if anyone's seen this clip, but it looks like a terrific add-on for any bike. Maybe BRP should add it to RT Limited:
