• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

have to store RT - battery?

I have to store my RT this summer and at this point can't find a storage locker in town with power. If I have to store it without a charger attached, should I just disconnect the battery?? Can I do that in the trunk without digging to the bottom where the battery resides?? Thanks for you help.

    Ryders in the area?

Just returned to the Rogue Valley for a few months. Have weekends free - are there any Spyder riders in the area who want to ride. Meet at Medford dealer Saturdays or Sundays and ride somewhere for a few hours. Let me know by email: [email protected]

    Charger pigtail

The pigtail for my charger was set up to be used when the frunk is opened and then closed upon the wire. The other day I took that little leftside wiring cover off and saw daylight down below so rerouted the pigtail through the opening. It now is hanging alongside the left spring/shock. I cable...

    charger in frunk?

Thinking of putting my Battery-Tender inside the frunk connected to the charger pigtail there and leaving the power cord hanging outside the frunk cover. Easier to connect to power when the full Spyder cover is on. Anyone see any issues? I would think there is airflow in there, so anything I...

    Recall done this morning

At 1800 miles, both plastic on master cylinder and plastic canister case showed signs of melting. Luckily they had a master cylinder in stock and took a canister off a new unit. They're planning on having a couple of each on hand in the future. They've done 5 or 6 so far and mine was the first...

    Fog lights (switch)

Just thought I would try the fog light switch the other day to see what effect it has. Well, virtually nil. Looking right at the light, looks like a single horizontal element in there, not very bright. Is it supposed to be effective? Has anyone replaced them with real driving lights? Thanks.

Something to do Sunday the 25th

Posted on the 4th Corner WA Group page: OK, I'm a summer visitor, not one of you locals. In my 12+ years of visiting, I've been many places in the area. But I have never been to Camano Island. In fact, I just had to look at a map to see how to get there. Don tried to get a ride there a few...

    My Spyderlovers problem

Don't know what's going on - after I go to New Posts, I get that screen right away. But if I click on a thread I want to see, I get the top half of the next screen but no postings of the thread. Waited over 30 seconds once and just gave up. I do the refresh several times and sometimes the posts...

    Stumped installing Tricled brake flasher

OK, I get the panel off surrounding the rear trunk opener - I can see the left connector but can't reach it with pudgy fingers, certainly not enough to separate the 2 halves of the plug. Can't even see the right side plug. Do the taillights have to be removed? If so, how? Can't find it in the...

RT windshield support - change color??

Has anyone tried (or done it) to change the color of the windshield support piece. Even on the 2013 RT-S with all the aluminum colored pieces blacked out, that piece is still aluminum color. Would like to make it black to blend in with the top of the dash - so is it powder coated or painted...

    RT seat removal tool

Others have called it a "rotating ratchet" and that they were carried at Lowes. SO I went there this morning and had 2 toolguys looking all over for a "rotating ratchet." Then one of them gets a brain wave and says "you mean the double drive?" And we went right to it. It's a Kobalt Double Drive...

    Adjustable handlebar question

For anyone who has the new adjustable handlebars, are the 2 adjusting bolts covered by some sort of plastic or rubber cap on yours? Mine are bare and I'm thinking maybe the tech misplaced them?? Thanks.

    Throttlemeisters?

Anyone installing throttlemeisters along with cruise control? Aside from the looks and the bar end weights, any value to installing them? Just interested and trying to decide what to do with my set of the old RS.

    Feathering the throttle?

While riding yesterday, I came to a roundabout. Had a hard time going slowly around the circle--either got no throttle or too much. First gear about 10-15 mph. Any thoughts?

    Cruise control switch malfunction??

Finally got on the interstate today and got into 5th gear after a few weeks of back country roads in 4th. Tried the cruise and every time I pushed the switch down to Set it went Off. If I was able to push it down so the green Set would light up, when I released it Cruise turned to Off. In over...
