• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    WA St ferry increases

Howdy: This note will be of little use to anyone outside the Puget sound area. I just got back from my yearly ride and found that not only have fares doubled, there is now a $3.80 charge on top of the motorcycle fare because I have 3 wheels. I don't expect to ride for free, but having to pay...

    Utopia info?

I was completing an order for a backrest when I started to wonder: Does the weight of the backrest cause problems with the seat staying open when fueling? Anybody have the Utopia? I had a Utopia on my GW for years. It worked fine but the seat did not raise on the GW... the RT is obviously...

    Another dealer story...

I installed an aftermarket fuel gauge and temp gauge last year. The fuel gauge was wacky because apparently the OEM dash gauge sends some sort of signal to the fuel sender. I fixed that problem but then the OEM gauge thought I was out of gas and set the amber low fuel light. I worked out the...

    Rotating footpegs

Does anybody know a way to rotate the driver's footpegs on an RT? The factory musta thought the ryder would be sitting on the headlights. As they are now, my shoe only contacts the back edge of the footpeg. I asked the shop and they said the pegs were keyed into place and could not be...

    Didn't give up

A while back I posted in extreme frustration thinking I had put out $25K+ for a machine that was nearly uncontrollable at freeway speeds and in any sort of air disturbance. Many, many members gave encouragement and hints both on line and in PMs. While I really (really) did not want to sink...

    Giving up.

I can tell from the posts that I am not the only one unhappy with the handling of my Spyder. I ride a 2011 RT. I have tried all the advice on the threads plus the advice given by my local dealer. I now have a bit over 1,300 miles and would not ride this thing for more than 50 miles. I have tried...

    First time towed. Need assitance

First time towed. Fixed! See "fixed" post at end of thread. I went riding yesterday to burn up some gas and see how the new gas gauge works. Pulled into a Mickeys for lunch (fortunately my home town) and when it was time to leave, I pushed the button. I got a short noise and then a second...

    Fuel gauge & temp.

Howdy... My 2011 RT did not have the aux fuel and temp gauges. The price for the two gauges from the factory is over $200.00 So, I did some research and experimentation and ended up with a fuel gauge and temp gauge from Speedhut. Mine has a little spider logo on it and when put into "night"...

    RT hose size?

Anybody measured the inside diameter for the upper radiator hose? I have looked through a shop manual and see nothing. I would like to cut the upper hose and install an aluminum temp gauge sender adaptor in the upper hose near the radiator. Obviously, I could just cut the line and then measure...
