• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Temporary Mirror Clip Fix

I was busy doing some mods to Libby this weekend and ended up breaking both mirror clips :gaah:- you know the ones. Since it was late Saturday and the dealers are closed on Sunday, my choices were to drive my car around or figure out how to rig it so that the mirror stays put. Not much of a...

    Libby's Mods

I purchased Liberty (aka Libby; 2011 RT-S SE) brand new in August 2011 and have been keeping busy, when not riding, adding the following mods: TricLED Fender Lights (operating as running and turn signals) TricLED Rear end 4th and 5th brake lights (operating as running and brake lights) Genesis...

    Phone Holder + Charger

I'm getting ready to remove the fuel and temp gauges from my 2011 RT-S and replace them with a 12v socket and voltmeter. I'm thinking that instead of buying a GPS, I would use my iPhone's Google Maps for navigation (or any other nav app), but in order to do that, I need to have constant power...

    I can't decide.....What do you think??

I've been working with Pete from PowerSportsWraps (who, by the way, is fantastic!) with putting rally stripes on my RT-S. I've finished doing the hood, glove box, trunk, and one fender, but I am undecided as to whether I like the look on the fender or not, so wanted to get others' opinions...

    Relocate the Horn Button??

I'm starting to think that I may need to relocate my horn button - has anyone done this? On 2 separate occasions, I have been in situations where I tried to honk my horn, only to hit the shift paddle. :gaah: I have small hands and in order to reach the horn button with my thumb, have to lift my...

Anyone here a member of Women on Wheels?

I've been a member of Women on Wheels for a couple of years now and am curious to know if any Lady Spyder Ryders are also members. I saw a picture of a Spyder in last month's magazine, but haven't really seen any other pics of women on spyders or any articles about them, so am not sure whether...

Has Anyone Else Experienced this with ESI?

I know that ESI is a very popular vendor, and sponsor here, but I have a real problem with the fact that I had a defective wake-up module, which I returned for a refund, but instead received a replacement, and now that I no longer own the RS they won't let me return the item for a store credit...

Do you ladies do your own mods?

I'm curious to know how many of us do our own mods. If so, what have you done? I have an RT-S now and have, so far, installed the HMT LED light (3rd brake light). When I had the GS, I installed a comfort seat, spring mod for the frunk, ESI risers, up and out mirror extensions, ESI brake...

    What's Wrong with This Picture??

I stopped at the gas station to fill up my RT for the first time since driving her off the lot, and as I went to reset Trip A, I noticed something a bit strange. Can you spot what I saw??

    Goodbye GS-SM, Hello RT-S SE

I traded in my 2009 GS for a 2011 RT-S today and boy what a difference. I did notice that there is not as much airflow on the RT, but I know I'm going to appreciate that in the winter. It was about 95 degrees when I left the dealership, but it felt more like 195 on the road. I rode about 15...

Riser Switch from ESI to Kewlmetal

Clutch tension relief - any ideas?

Is it just me, or do others also experience hand pain using the clutch on a SM5? I was told the clutch tension would decrease the more I ride, but I have about 1,000 miles on my :spyder2: and don't think the tension has decreased at all. And I do most of my riding commuting via back roads, so...

    Crankcase Bolt Stripped...now what??

I am doing the first service on my :spyder2: and stripped out the crankcase bolt. :gaah: What the heck do I do now? I don't want to do a half a$$ job and not drain the oil from the crankcase, but I would need to put in new oil if I need to take it in to have the bolt removed. Any suggestions?

    Kuryakyn Grips

I received a set of Kuryakyn Black ISO grips that I bought off of eBay and noticed that the part number is different than the one on Kuryakyn's website (I got 6344, Kuryakyn shows 6341). I called Kuryakyn and asked what the differences are and was told the 6344 are for sport bikes and have a...

    Torque Wrench

I know my way around tools pretty well, but am a bit of a rookie when it comes to buying a torque wrench. I understand how they're used, but am clueless as far as what I should have in my toolbox. I'm planning to do most, if not all, of the maintenance on my '09 SM5 and believe a torque...

    Waterproof Jeans

They come in both men's and women's sizes and are only $99. And they're made...
