• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Said goodbye today...

To MR. Cooper. AKA Cooper T. Cat. Coops was 15 years old. He had been on hyperthyroid medication for about two months. Just suddenly last Friday he began to go down hill very fast. Took him to an emergency vet on Sunday. She felt he was having a reaction to the medication. His RBC was at 13 when...

    Sweet time Thursday

Kris and I met some friends Thursday morning at the range. We spent about 1.5 hours throwing some lead down range. I had the opportunity to shoot this little beauty. Talk about fun. Loud as all heck, very little kick. We used the 30 round magazine. It has a really nice laser dot scope that you...

    Sad news

Some of you here already know since this was posted on FB. I'll post here too. We lost a good friend and fellow Spyder Ryder on Monday, Jan. 4th. Spike Williams suddenly passed away. For those that don't know, Spike and his lovely wife Kay lived in Georgetown, South Carolina. He was a...

    Really?

I was out running errands yesterday when I drove by a local eatery. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I immediately turn around and went back. This is what I saw. I went in and the hostess asked if she could help me. I asked her about the flags. I was met with a blank stare then "what...

    Throttle

Been noticing lately that my throttle seems to stick occasionally. When I roll off to slow down it sometimes sticks and I have to manually roll it back to the idle stop. Thinking I need to pull the grip off and have a look at the return spring. Anyone else have this issue?

    Low flying F86H

This is what I was involved in today. Our RC was asked to provide a motorcycle escort for this refurbished F86H from Seymour Johnson AFB to it's new display point in downtown Goldsboro. The five mile trip took an hour to complete. Then another hour to get the flatbed parked. It will be raised to...

    Joaquin...

Tuesday we were preparing for a trip to the NC mountains for a weekend of riding and enjoying the scenery. NOT. Canceled due to heavy rains and flooding. That is just from a front coming in from the west. We're expected to get up to as much as 6 inches of rain here. Nevermind that it has been...

    Have you noticed...

the backs of your calves getting wet when riding in rain? Saturday we did a run and ran in to some showers. Nothing bad enough to put on the rain gear but enough to wet the roads. On the first stop I noticed I was fairly dry except for my jeans at the back of my calves. Figured it must be coming...

And a Spyder shall lead them

Our annual charity ride yesterday. I lead group two. Unfortunately the turnout was low. Threat of rain, other events. But we still managed to raise $3,000.00 for the Wayne County Veterans and Patriots Coalition. Only ran in to some light showers. Didn't even need rain gear.

    Nice ride?

Had a nice ride today. Weather was really nice. Low humidity, temps around 88. But the vibration above 65 was ridiculous. I'm glad it was only 100 miles. I had a headache when it was over. I do like my F3S but man I wish the vibration wasn't so bad.

today that I really didn't want to be a member of. Rode a little over 100 miles today with some members of the Brotherhood. Was a good day weather wise to ride. Cruising down NC 55 in the tailgunner slot. Felt something hit my neck, thought it was a piece of gravel off the road. Then WHAM! Hot...
