• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Car Horns be made functional on an F3??

A friend has a 17 F3 LTD. He has a pair of 12v horns that are actually for a car or truck. He is not a computer guy, so he ask me to pose the question to the forum. Can the horns be made functional on his F3? If so, how? Thanks.

Is there a way to adjust something/somewhere which would keep the trunk/top case open on a 22 F3 Limited?

Many Thanks to Westside Powersports in Spokane

It seems too often we drop to the lowest levels to complain and/or belittle Spyder dealers for various reasons. I too have had a few issues with poor or ugly service, but overwhelmingly the experiences have been quite the opposite. I prefer to express gratitude and thanks to dealers who help out...

    2014 Spyder Rendezvous

I was surprised to get a small package on Dec 31st from SOAR, Johnson Creek, WI, www.joinsoar.com. It contained a CD with about an hours worth of photos taken during the Spyder event held last August. Nicely done, a super gesture and a great way to promote the event being planned for 2015...

    An Escort to Remember

Just experienced an awesome and truly humbling event. The PGR in Central Illinois and American Legion Riders in the area were invited to escort the Vietnam Traveling Wall to its stop in Decatur. I've done funerals and another escort mission, but this was simply awesome. As usual, I was flying...

    Gusty Impressions

Yesterday on the prairie it was windy to say the least. Sustained winds between 35-40, with lots of gusts to 50 MPH out of the west. Time to find out how the new Performance RT handled in a real breeze. And the report is it did admirably!!! The real test was with those winds hitting the RT and...

    Maggie Valley Owner Event Survey

A few minutes ago I received an email and link for MV attendees to complete a survey on the likes, dislikes, where would you like 2012 event, etc., etc., etc.. It's a great opportunity to provide opinions.

    GPS & Mounting

After traveling to Lamont' and ryding around MV, etc., it became very obvious that I needed to get a GPS unit. I am indebted to my ryding companions (all of which had GPS) because I hadn't a clue how to get to various places and had no idea where in the heck they were leading me. :roflblack...

    Lighting Mods & Functions

I want to make some modifications to my lights and increase their respective functions. I'm not an electrical wizard or wiring pro - so I've come to the place that has both. I've got an RS. I want the rear turn signals to function as running lights also. I want the tail brake lights to also...

    Purpose of the wire is?

While doing some maintenance, etc., the past few days on my 2009, RS SE5, I noticed that on the main battery ground (-) side there is a small wire connection with no wire attached to it. I can see a small guage wire (I'm colored challenged and it looks green to me) a short distance down beside...

    My Little Spyder Web

Some time ago I asked for and received advice on saddlebags for my GS. I went with Roadgear Hi-Adventure saddlebags and I added their side tank bags. But I still wanted another option. So ... I designed a web with a spyder and mounted it behind the backrest. It is designed to carry about 30...

Saddle Bags and/or Rear Storage Bag

I'm new to the Spyder world, but after my first ride I was hooked. I've ridden my 2009 SE5 almost 1000 miles in the month I have had it. I just LOVE it! Course this year Mother Nature has blessed Central Illinois with great riding weather for this time of year. My rides have been relatively...

    Newbie from Central Illinois

Hi. I'm a relatively new member to this forum. I used this and other forums for some guidance as i hunted my Spyder down. After a few months of studying, listening, reading and looking I found it. My 2009 SE5 RS was delivered this past Saturday. I haven't had a lot of time to ride it, but the 80...
