• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Huuuuge Shout out to TricLed !

Over the years I've purchased quite a few products from TricLed. Their Customer service has always been second to none. I've occasionally broken an LED strip when installing and they've replaced them free, and always respond quickly to questions, or requests for advice. Earlier this week I...

    What Roads Prohibit Trailers

When we purchased our 2014 RT-L, we also purchased the RT-622 trailer. This is the first trailer we have pulled/owned ever. I understand that there are roads that prohibit the use of trailers, but I'm having a helluva time trying to find a resource that I can use when trip planning. I don't...

    42.3 MPG WOW!

Wifey and I went for a 200+ mile ride today. Mostly back roads with highest speed limit of 50 mph on the trip. The combination of traffic and speed limits kept me from my usually more aggressive riding style. When we filled up I was amazed to find that we got 42.3 MPG!! Previously our best...

Tricled - Great Service after the sale

In May I bought several lighting products from Tricled but for a variety of reasons didn't get started installing them until late last week. I'm a newbie to anything mechanical/electrical so the whole thing was a bit intimidating to me. It didn't stop me from taking the leap though! :thumbup...

Connecticut Licensing Requirements for operators of 3-wheeled vehicles

Hi All, As some of you know, I've been informally / occasionally working to change the way the state of Connecticut licenses operators of 3-wheeled vehicles and specifically Can-AM spyders since 2010. My ultimate goal is for CT to require only a driver's license to be able to legally operate a...

    2014 RTL - Can't remove gas cap !!

I went to put gas into the RT today for the first time. When I turned the gas cap counterclockwise to remove it, there was a ratcheting sound just like when you tighten it. I tried pushing down on the cap and turning, pulling up on the cap and turning, turning it clockwise, etc. and all it...

What's Going On With Columbia Motorsports in CT?

Does anyone know what's going on "behind the scenes" at Columbia Motorsports service dept. in CT? The Service Manager last year was terrific. Great follow-up, proactive, and generally easy to work with. I took delivery several weeks ago on my 2014 RTL and have been waiting for the trailer...

    No 2014 Rt-622 trailers?

Had a talk this morning with the dealer to finalize the numbers on our 2014 White RT-LTD + RT-622 Trailer. During our conversation the salesman told me that BRP is not manufacturing any new trailers because they have so much excess inventory from 2013. Therefore our trailer is a 2013 model and...

Anyone Ride Year Round in Northern Climates?

I live in Connecticut, and I ride year round. The only thing that has kept me off the road in winter is snow and Ice. My riding motto is: "There's no such thing as bad riding weather, just bad riding gear." Until now, all of my cold weather riding has been on my BMW R1200RT. It's what I...

    Ordered a new 2014 today

We pulled the trigger on a white 2014 RT Limited with trailer today from Columbia Motorsports. Got what I think is a decent deal on trade in for our 2010 RT-S SM5, and on the extended warranty. The dealer doesn't have any idea when it will come in but I'm hoping it won't be TOO long. Can't...

    Leaves already changing in Vermont!

Pat and I took our 2 month old RT-S for it's first REAL ride. Took I91 from Hartford, Ct. up to beautiful SR112 in New Hampshire and headed east to Conway NH on the Kangamagus highway. "Charlotte" performed very well. It was a fantastic trip except for an hour-long embarrasing incident where...

Connecticut Ryders - will you help?

Hi Fellow CT Ryders! I am the proud owner of a month old RT-S. My wife and I love it. My wife would love to pilot it, but does not have a motorcycle endorsement, and is intimidated by two-wheelers. She could NEVER get a full motorcycle endorsement. And I believe she should not have to...
