• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "WOW" factor ideas?

"WOW" factor ideas? We all have been pleasantly surprised or said "wow" to certain features / functions / styling of the Spyder..... What did BRP forget? Here's one idea I wish they had designed in: "Speed Compensating Windshield" - I generally put the windshield to full up above...

Rolled past 57,000 miles with my 2010 RTS

Have had our blue baby 6.5 years now, and just turned over 57,000 miles. We're having more fun with our Spyder with every year that goes by. Discovered that Instagram (#ridewithsandyandbill) is a great way to show / share some of our adventures... Short evening rides as well as weekend...

    Broken RT Fender Brace

Well, just turned over 30,000 miles today on our 37 month old 2010 RTS. Been solid and problem free until today, when the right fender bracket (front) broke (see pic). Will get a new part, but until then, used a long bolt to bridge the break.... Hope this isn't the beginning of any kind of...

Adjustable Air Deflector - Bad Design?

Went to motorcycle show in Novi yesterday, and saw a new RT with the optional adjustable side air deflectors (under the mirrors). Was very disappointed to see that in the middle (straight) detent position, the forward edge of each deflector would interfere with the opening of the frunk!! That...

    CB PTT Problem....

There's been a lot said and posted about the 2010 RT's CB lingering transmitter problem, where it continues transmitting for 5-7 seconds after the PTT button is released. Many of you with the problem have had cluster replacements to a 2011 cluster as authorized by BRP. My question is have you...

XM Radio Reception - directionally affected

Sandy and I have a 2010 RTS that I installed the XM Radio to earlier this summer. The antenna mounts under the rear compartment cover, in the area between the cover hinges on a bracket. We LOVE the radio, but have noticed that whenever we're traveling due south, our reception often cuts out...

    Chrome Bits for RT-622 Trailer?

In the '10 product catalog, I've noticed that the RT-622 trailer had chrome bezels around the front and rear side markers, however the product as purchased does not. These pictures were also used in the 2011 product catalog and on their website. When the 2011 Accessories Catalog came out with...

    A Good Luck Bell?

Anyone know about a good luck bell you're supposed to have hanging on your bike somewhere? I stopped by my local dealer yesterday for their Thursday Hot Dog night, and the local area Gold Wing club was there, and they each had a small bell mounted low on their bikes. A few tried to explain...

    Installed XM - Long Overdue!

Well, I finally gave in and took the plunge. Bought the XM kit from Motor City Powersports (from their Ebay listing). They accepted my $350 bid... was pleased with that price (and they have more to sell). This was a NIB (New In Box) item, and after a few hours this afternoon, had it...

    Removing RT Windshield For Cleaning

Well, it's a cold dreary day here in Michigan (so, what's NEW?) and as I'm getting the Blue Bomber ready for what will hopefully be a nice day for a ride tomorrow, I decided that it was time to clean the windshield of the waterspots and bugs that are trapped between the windshield mount support...

RT622 Cargo Nets & Spare Tire Bag

Recently got the Cargo Net accessory for the RT-622 trailer, and it was pretty straightforward and simple to install. There is some drilling in the rear trim panels, and might have needed to drill into the floor except my trailer had the necessary anchors already installed (I suspect that most...

Ride Withdrawal Symptoms Are Fading Away!!

Well, after almost 4 months of no riding, the SE Michigan weather here cooperated enough for me to take the Blue Bomber out for a ride.... and that was JUST EXACTLY what the doctor ordered!! :2thumbs: I knew I was suffering from ride withdrawal, but my malady faded quickly the moment the...
