• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

More off-road (this week in the snow)

No mud this week. Lots of snow. Ran great, drifted for 78 miles, lol! Should have wore my sled helmet as my helmet iced over and I struggled to see during freezing rain. Heated grips are a savior

    Off road with a Ryker

I think I should have attached some photos from last weekend on my Ryker. I rode for 50 miles on very, very muddy fire roads. It was 6 inches thick at times. Any cars I saw were stuck, so it was me and a bunch of Jeeps! I goes well in the rough stuff!

    5,000+ miles. What’s Next

So, I haven’t posted in awhile, but I had a really good year with the Ryker. Not a problem to be had from her, I put 5,000 on her, 3,000 on my Triumph, and 1,800 on my sv650. What’s on it? Windscreen, heated grips, lighted handguards, led headlights, rear seat, backrest, rear saddlebag...

First LONG ride 1770 miles from Thursday-Sunday.

I started out at 7am on Thursday, left PA (29 degrees) and headed south. Stopped for the day at 570 miles in Sweetwater, TN. Got up Friday morning, headed south via a scenic route to Ft Benning, GA (270 miles, much warmer out!). Visited with my daughter and her Army friends on Friday and...

1st big day (350 miles) , mpg, etc

ok, so I trailered to Virginia, rode for 358 miles in one day and here is what I learned. (ok 358 miles isn't huge but it was COLD FOR GODS SAKE!) First, 28 degrees is pretty damn cold to start off a ride. I was dressed for it, and my heated grips were a godsend, but it was still cold...

Ryker Ride in the Northeast in the dead of Winter

I know this isn't the place to post a ride, but in light of No one around me being able to ride due to weather constraints... I am thinking of trailering my Ryker to around Harrisonburg, VA Saturday night for a nice, long, Blue Ridge parkway ride on Sunday. That is where the closest...

    Lamonster LED Headlight Bulbs

Kudos to Lamont on the LED headlight bulb upgrade for the Ryker. There really is NO COMPARISON to the stock bulbs. They are much brighter, much whiter and it dropped the voltage drop with/without headlight by a full 0.2v! That'll get you some accessory capacity!

Ryker Tool Kit for Distance riders

Since it's really crappy/snowy here in Western Pennsylvania and I can't ride the Ryker I assembled a Tool kit for when I travel south to visit my daughter. It has the 65mm wheel socket (529036457) for if I have to remove the wheel and a garage/tire shop doesn't have it. Inside a small...

My First Extended ride on the Ryker

OK, I have spent the majority of my riding time since 2009 on Spyders. (My other rides are a Triumph Sprint ST and a Suzuki DR650 dual sport). To date, I am guessing my Spyder miles to be at around 50,000, the bulk of which have been on RT's. I cut my teeth on GS's, loved the ST's, enjoyed the...

    Undressed Ryker Photos

Thought I'd post some pictures of an undressed Ryker that was on display at the dealer conference. You can see the belt cover pretty well in a couple of the photos, and how minimalist it really is. Very simple, very clever design

WHY A RYKER (and what i thought of it after riding it)

Ok, let me start off by saying that I 'd like to think I know a thing or two about riding and selling Spyders. To date, I have sold 783 new/used from my dealership and have put thousands and thousands of miles on them. All of them, GS's, ST's, F3's, etc... yadda yadda yadda. So, let me say...

    my F3 ride

I haven't posted to this forum in a long time. I'm a dealer, and i get to ride Spyders nearly every day. I truly appreciate each model for its strengths and weaknesses. If I had to choose one for my only Spyder to ride, it would probably be an ST. That said, I am more of a sport touring...
