• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

With all of the posts and pictures of everyone's 2014 with all of the fabulous changes, I feel like I might as well just leave my 2012 in the garage. Seriously, I wish I had the money right now to buy a 2014. I also don't put enough miles on the current RT to justify changing it. I suppose...

    Garmin 665-Cuts in and out

I have been struggling with the install of my Garmin 665 on my 2012 Rt for some time. It works fine when I route the audio through the aux. plug in the trunk, but when I use the connector that I would use for the 660 the XM cuts in and out. The problem with the aux plug in the rear is that the...

Where does the glovebox lock connect in front

My glove-box does not lock, and I can not find the front connection point. It is attached at the glove-box, but even with al lthe side panels off I can not find where it should attach so it locks when the handlebars are locked. My dealer says it is a bigger job than one might expect, since a...

    Odd Sound issue

I added a Garmin 665 a couple of months back and all seemed well. I am using the plug on the right rear side and it supplies both power an sound to the speakers. Recently I started getting random drop outs of sound on the XM part. This occurred with both XM and other music,I took it to the...

Concerned about transmission after software update

My 2012 RT has been running great. It has just under 3000 miles. I brought the Spyder in to get my state inspection. While there, I was told it needed a software update. As I recall he said it had something to do with the throttle. Now it will not upshift from 1-2 until it is somewhere over...

Its great to recommend this Pennsylvania dealer.

I purchased my RT-S from Leisure Equipment in Spring City, PA-about 25 minutes from exit 312 on the PA turnpike. The salesman was terrific. I have not had any problems thankfully, but have spoken to the service manager, and besides being knowledgeable, he is also helpful. He is willing to...

    Locking glove box

I have a 2012 RT. I think the glove box used to lock when I turned the handlebars full left and turned the key to the locked position. Am I correct that it should lock, and if so any thoughts as to why mine doesn't?

    Seal floorboard brake pedal riser

I received the aluminum riser for the brake pedal with the "Seal" floorboards. I had made a small modification previously when I managed to strip the thread over tightening the pedal when It came loose on a recent trip. All I did was drill through the pedal and inserted two tapered round...

    Seal floorboards and brakes

I got the brake "riser block" and installed it. I made a slight modification to the brake pedal when I first got the boards to make it a bit higher. One of my concerns was the brake pedal/pad coming loose which it did on my way to Boston a while ago. When I tried to tighten it I stripped the...

    XM in "glove box"

I had my XM unit mounted in my trunk but wanted a way to change channels without getting off the RT. I had an old XM unit and took the insert from the glovebox(that I didn't use anyway), and made a cut out to fit the radio holder. I had to drill a small hole in the side of the glovebox as...

    Any thoughts for arthritis comfort

I am starting to have some finger/thumb pain which my doctor confirmed is the start of arthritis. He also said it will get worse, and there is no real cure. I love riding my spyder, as well as my bicycle, but noticed as time goes on the hands are getting more uncomfortable on any ride longer...

I love my Seal Floor boards

Adding Seal Floorboards floorboards was the best thing I could have done to my new Can Am. My wife, who often dragged her feet on the brake-pedal occasionally putting us in "limp home" mode, no longer has that issue. She was a bit unsure of the comfort when "piloting" the RT, but the floorboard...

    Riders new Exton/West Chester Pennsylvania

Id love to find a group of local riders my wife and I could ryde(sp) with. I see there is a group in Pa, but Pennsylvania is a larger state. We currently ride with a motor scooter group and the people are great, but it would be fun to have some more Spyders in our midst.

    Helmet Accesories

I hope I am not causing a problem posting this here, but I was not sure how many people looked at the for sale area. I recently replaced my Shuberth C3, I needed to because I finally decided "it just didn't fit." I bought the "SRC" intercom when I got the helmet, since it is made for the C3...

    Adjusting the shocks

I bought a motorcycle lift so I could adjust the shocks. I increased them to four, but want to go to five. The issue I have is using the wrench they provide. I was a major pain trying to get the provided wrench to stay in the "notch" as I increased the tension. I might have given up, but...

    Boston and back

I did my first longer distance ride on the 2012 RT last week. All went well for the 720 or so miles (360 miles there and back) but, I must say I would not do it again, at least by myself. Three hundred sixty miles of highway is totally boring regardless of what you ride. I have a friend who...

Is there a way to wire in to the amplifier for the speakers

I love listening to my XM radio and would like to have my phone "pipe" the sound through the speakers. Can the amplifier be accessed without a great deal of trouble? I currently have an XM unit in the trunk, which functions as one as I do not want to change channels. Id like to access the...

    Rear power plug

Is there an easy way to get the power outlet in the rear trunk to turn off with the ignition. I am afraid I will forget to unplug my iPod or other device when I turn the power off.

    Yet another mounting option

As suggested by several, I removed the fuel and and temperature gauge, and replaced them with a voltmeter, and power plug. Th temperature gauge and gas gauge both seem more accurate, and I like the look with the "orange" background on the main screen. I looked for a few easy mounting places for...

    Color match for 2012 RT-S

A couple of weeks ago I posted the question as to where I could get touch up paint for my red RT-S. It would be nice if they (BRP) had touchup sticks like the do for automobiles. When I asked before it was "just in case." Now i discovered my first two dings and realize that the black plastic...
