• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2013 ST-S - I like the Heat

I've got a 2013 ST-S that generates a lot of heat around the area where your feet are. Enough in fact that it's a bit uncomfortable on 90F+ hot and humid days here in Arkansas. But I don't ride on those hot days anyway - didn't when I had the Harley. But it's cooler weather here 8 out of 12...

Brought a pizza home - on the Spyder!

This was something I could never do on a motorcycle - went for a ride this morning, then on the way home, stopped at Papa Murphy's and bought a large pizza, and brought it home in the trunk! It folded up a little at the edges, but survived the 20 mile ride home just fine.

    Why are they called Spyders?

I mean, there is the Ski-Doo, and the Sea-Doo. Shouldn't they be called Land-Doos? Or Road-Doos? BTW, I have a brand new 2013 ST-S sitting in the garage, waiting for this winter weather to break. Just picked it up Wednesday from Pitbull in Springfield. All I've done is back it off the...

In 2013 Spyders, is auto-downshifting back to 1st gear always reliable with the SE5?

I read somewhere on the forum that in relatively rare instances the SE5 did not go back down to 1st gear at a stop, if you didn't downshift yourself while slowing down. And then it was a hastle to get it to 1st hear. Is this still an issue on any 2013 models? Are all you SE5 users...

Does anybody have an RT (not RT-S or Limited)?

I mean, if you live with the color choice, it seems like the best bang for the buck. Mostly cosmetic differences, except for the air shocks. And I'm not sure I even want those. It seems like everyone has an -S or a limited.

    Experience with Bradford Marine?

I'm considering getting a new Spyder from Bradford Marine in Springdale Arkansas. They also have locations in Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Texarkana. Does anyone here have experience with their service department in any of the locations?

Motorcycle converts - tell me about your experience

This is addressed to those of you who were previously (or even still are) motorycle riders and made the switch to a Spyder. I'm afraid of losing part of the motorcycle experience - the leaning into curves and swaying back and forth with your body that makes you "one" with the motorcycle. I...

Have Spyders improved much in last 3 years?

I considered getting a Spyder back in 2010. Issues seen on this forum like fouled spark plugs after a few hundred miles scared me off and I went ahead and bought another Harley. I have a very short commute to work on days when I might want to ride a Spyder (less than 1 mile) and I was...

Best type of trailer for RT?

I'm thinking about buying a new RT. My current utility trailer is not quite big enough - 6 x 8. I need to get a 6 x 10'. I was thinking about the type where the whole trailer bed pivots rather than the type with the back gate that swings to the ground. I don't want to risk hitting the...
