• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Hyper Silver RT , traded F3L

Just traded my 22 F3L for a RT limited. After riding the old style and new style RT’s for many 10’s of thousands of miles, I switched to the F3 Limited last year because “initially” I felt it offered a far more relaxed riding position when I took it for an extended test ride. However, after...

HowTo: Add additional storage using BRP LINQ accessories

I have a trailer and am going to install my hitch soon, but I prefer to ride trailerless when I can and I’m solo. I had been pondering adding a LINQ Base Plate to the trunk of my RT instead of a luggage rack, so I ordered a base plate, LINQ base attachments, and started with the 21L expandable...

    Full circle Spyder owner

A little long …. So in 2006 my dealer notified me that BRP was going to invite me to go to San Diego to see a prototype vehicle early in 2007. I had seen marked up drawings of the spyder online and even though I didn’t know what it was called yet I assumed that’s what we are going to see. BRP...

RAM ball mount custom Install 2020 RT

I wanted to have a good looking Ram ball mount for my GPS and phone . I looked at my Ram handlebar clamp mount I have in my toolbox and also looked at Lamonsters solution. I didn’t want the clamp look and Lamonsters would drop the GPS or Phone directly in front of the digital gauges . On the...

2020 RT is home in the stable

Weather wasn’t the greatest but I picked up the new Spyder today and put on a quick 50 miles . More later but initial impressions are that this Spyder was built with every change I had always wished my old Spyder had. The heated seat was amazing on a cold Buffalo day , the wind protection on my...

    The New RT has arrived

Purchased my new 2020 today. There have been a bunch of comments made by those that have seen the new ones that there appear to be some fit and finish problems where the rear sub-assembly meets up to the back of the seat. After looking at it today and talking to my dealer it appears the base pan...

    Seat Difference 14/15 vs 12

Everyone , After being down and out for the last 19 months with chronic Lyme disease , I pulled the 12 RTS out of the garage and unhooked the battery charger and rode it 50 miles for the first time in 2 years. (Performed flawlessly even after sitting untouched for that long) As my recovery...

I haven't been on the forums in about a year very much because work has kept me from the fun sport that we all enjoy. Well this weekend I had an opportunity too quickly fly down to venice florida and pick up my spyder and ride it back upstate New York. The problem is I only had 24 hours to do...

    Feel Like complaining? READ THIS!

Many times , we find it easy to b*tch about our Spyders, crab about other drivers , complain about the weather, you name , it most of us (me included) can take a cynical look at situations sometimes. A friend of mine doesn't know the word pessimism, has never heard of the word can't and...

    The new Spyder is home

Rode my Goldwing 76 miles to my dealer (90% back roads through upstate NY) this afternoon and swapped it for my new 12 Spyder RT Limited. I rode backroads the whole way there on the wing to intentionally do a quick back to back comparison. I had ridden 2 wheels for 30 years, then went to a 2008...

We thought we had it licked..

Last fall I posted Carol's Spyder RTS for sale , only days later having her beg me not to sell it because she was positive she could beat the medical issues with her hands that were making it impossible for her to ride. So we let the winter pass, worked on solutions and we just tried to take a...

    Last Ride of Season-

Works been crazy as usual but grabbed a hand full of throttle and took a ride today. Upon returning 15 minutes later due to mechanical issues (there was a HUGE odor of raw fuel on left hand turns from a stop) it left a quart of coolant in the driveway over the next 2 hours. Heck Its got 3000...

    Trailering with cover?

Anyone attempted it? Shooting down to NC this week , both travel days look WET, my trailer has a great 30" frontal stone shield but the residual waterspray will make a mess of the RT by the time we get there. Just wondering if anyone had towed with the cover in place. :helpsmilie:

BRP has gone outside their internal engineering and Rotax to well known Rockwell Automotive to redesign the SE5 Tranny for 2011. Got a shot with my Hero HD Camera at the shop of the final outcome on how they are going to redesign the SE5 so the issues that appeared this year do not happen...
