• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bike "swerving" with high speed acceleration.

I have searched this forum for a bit and couldn't find anything about this issue I'm having. When I am above 60mph, drop into 4th to pass someone, and roll on the throttle quickly, my '08 Spyder starts to squirm/oscillate/swerve. If I back out of the throttle, it goes away. It's intermittent...

    Stock Muffler Gasket?

Has anyone found a "replacement" gasket for the stock muffler install? Or am I going to have to go through BRP? I went searching through old threads and didn't see anything. Thanx.

    Scheduled maintenance throttle cable lube?

The periodic maintenance schedule lists lubricating the throttle cable. I did a search here and looked through the maintenance manual at the house and don't see anything describing how to perform this maintenance action. Anybody done this or knows how it is done? Any help would be...

    License plate/inspection plate....

being sacrificed to the road gods! I did a search and didn't see anything relating to this. A little background first. When I first bought my bike, it was a dealer demo and I noticed then that the inspection sticker plate was bent aft by about 5 degrees. (I can supply photos for those not...

    A busy weekend.

Three weeks ago I pulled my :spyder: into the garage and got busy. A little back ground; approximately two or three weeks before that I had done an oil change and gone straight up synthetic oil instead of using the BRP "blend". Shortly after I was getting oil dripping inside the right hand...

    Update on steering.

I have put over 2,000 miles on my bike since the DPS and torque angle sensor got changed and have had no problems. That would include two driving snow storms, a week straight of 25 - 30 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph; 95% of that direct crosswind, and wildly varying temperatures from 90F to...

    Front Tires

I'll admit it up front, I'm being lazy. I remember a thread discussing this, but don't want to go look it up.:D My front end alignment is not right (going to be taken care of when the DPS gets changed this weekend) which caused my right front tire to wear out prematurely. So, I got to looking...

    Philadelphia area ryders.

I am going to be in Philadelphia all next week for business. However, work day is done at 3:30. Anyone in the PA, DE, NJ area around Philadelphia interested in meeting? Obviously can't go for a ryde, but would still like to meet some of our East Coast ryders. I will be staying at the...

    Got the Spyder back!

Picked my Spyder up from the dealer this morning. The parts they were waiting on were for the canister vent tube mod. Also the ECM update was done as well as the GPS change out I dropped it off for. Some quick observations on my 5 mile shakedown run to work, mostly highway. The throttle...

    Juicebox?

How sophisticated is the engine management system on the Spyder? On an automobile, if one puts in performance mods, (ie K&N air filter, duel exhaust with free flow cats, and upsize the tubing) the engine computer can take advantage of them because all the computer cares about is the...

    Traveling

I will be in Philadelphia next week on business. Fly in Mon afternoon, fly out Fri morning. I will have a rental car with afternoons after 3:30 free. Won't have the :spyder: obviously, but would be interested in meeting some of ya'll on the East Coast if ya'll are interested. Contact me...

    Different solutions to same symptom.

OK. I posted this in another thread, but decided to start a thread just dealing with this as I have seen the idea floated a couple of different times that maybe this steering issue isn't just related to the DPS. I am starting to come down in that camp and here's why; As I watch the different...

? on tire press for rear auto type tire.

For those of you that have put automotive type rear tires on your :spyder2:, what tire pressure do ya run? I just got mine mounted and balanced today and I think they put 35psi in it because I have about a 1 inch section of tread on each side that isn't even dirty yet.
