• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas on this - Fault Code P0123

On the way home from an Honor Flight send off, about 7:30 am and about 36°F, winding out and cruising about 90, when the check engine light comes on. Didn't note any changes so I just slowed down for the last 2 miles home. While waiting for the garage door to open in neutral, I 'blipped' the...

Winter vs summer tires on front of RT

I see interesting tread designs while looking for front tires on 16 RT and I'm curious as to tire life with a winter tire run all summer.

More wiring questions - looking for switched power for relay?

16 RT. I've been searching the forum on switched auxiliary wiring. I am using a relay to power extra LED lights and looking for a switched power source for the 'low amp side' of the wiring. I see some have used an add-a-circuit to the fuse box but I haven't figured out how one gets the wire...

Any ideas on Mounting extra auxiliary LED headlights?

I have a pair of GROTE LED spot lights I would like to mount on the front of my '16 RTL. There is too much plastic and minimum metal places to mount them. They are square and measure about 3.5" x 3.5" x 3.5" with a single bolt mount. I've seen smaller LEDs mounted on the A-arms but not sure how...

Does the ECU need re-mapping after cat-delete?

There's a thread on fB Can-Am Spyder Owners - Self Service & Technical concerning whether the ECU needs remapping after a cat-delete. My understanding it is once it is done, let it idle for 10 minutes or so and it will learn the changes. Others say it will run lean and shorten the life of the...

Frustration - TriAxis install '16 RTL

When we were getting frustrated, working on a piece of farm equipment, a former boss would say "Some engineer got a bonus for designing it that way." Well if I ever meet that engineer . . . :banghead: Especially removing that plastic ring around the ignition. :gaah: Thanks to the gentleman...

Exhaust question - how will it sound without the cap on the baffle?

I put on the Baldwin Iron Works cat delete with the baffle and end cover on it. It didn't add much to the noise level although it's easier to hear when one shifts, etc. I'm wondering how the sound would change if I removed the cap at the end of the baffle and left the baffle in? I wouldn't mind...

    Brake lights with key off

Never noticed it before but just added extra flashing brake lights and happened to push on brake pedal with the key in my hand and the brake lights came on. Just tapped into the brake lights behind the left tailight. Everything else works fine. 16 RT-L

    BRP Engineers - I wonder if their ears burn . . . ?

I hope the engineer that decided where to put those three springs on the 1330 exhaust sleeps well. :lecturef_smilie: Finally used a screwdriver inserted in a hole in the frame and was able to get some leverage on the tool supplied with the BaldwinIronworks cat delete. It might have been easier...

    16 RT-L - wiring a modulating brake light?

I have a "Flash Strobe Controller Flasher Module for LED Brake Light" with two wires in and two wires out just like I used on my Vulcan Nomad. There I had it wired to a seperate 4LED strip and only tapped into the brake light system. Looking at the RTL brake lights I'm not so sure it could be...

What Analog gauge replacements did you use?

What are you replaceing the analog gauges with? I would like to have a volt meter and usb ports but not finding ones that will fill in the holes. Are there fillers that let a smaller item into the 2" holes in the dash? On another note, anyone using one of these...

16 RT-L showing Limp Mode, Parking brake warning, and check engine light! Why?

The bike is up on a table for maintenance. I jacked up the rear wheel to adjust the belt. Started and shut the bike off and listened to the parking brake alarm so I could rotate the wheel. It was started and shut off numerous times to run the rear wheel while making adjustments. Then I changed...

Old ears are getting tired and . . .

I like the Spyder RT (16) radio and understand all the ways of getting my phone to connect and come out of the Spyder speakers. Due to hearing loss of 25 years as firearms instructor and running farm equipement, I need a way to get the Spyder speakers to either my wired, speaker earplugs or...
