• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Rear Rim with Wheel Hub Question

I am getting very close to buying the Black Rear Rim with Wheel Hub kit from BRP, part number 219400105 for my 2009 GS SE5. What I am wondering is what, if any, other parts do I need to order for replacement at the same time I do this? I have a copy of the installation instructions and it...

    My Barn Find Spyder

I have had a lot going on in my life over the past couple of years and really did not ryde my Spyder much at all last year. Those who know me realize that this is very out of character for me. They also know that I always carry a can of Original Bike Spirits and microfiber cloths everywhere I...

Looking for a Room for SpyderFest

I am very late in getting things together to go to SpyderFest and saw that all the local hotels are sold out already. I need suggestions on any hotels that are in a reasonable distance to the event that might have a room for 2 adults and 1 child. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Lost SpyderLover Checkin In

Hello once again to all of my SpyderLover family and friends. I am hoping to be back in contact with you a lot more now that things are finally returning to a form of normalcy for me. The past 3 months or so have been filled with a lot of ups and downs, most of which were downs until the past...

My Lamont's BBQ and MV Owner's Event 2011 Experience

Wednesday night, June 15, I was posting on the forum when severe thunderstorms rolled through. I went to bed hoping they would pass before I woke up to head towards TN. When I awoke at 4 AM, it was still raining, but didn't seem to be that bad. I got cleaned up, packed my gear on, and in, the...

    Nelson-Rigg CAS-360 Full Cover Review

My wife has been using an extra large motorcycle cover that she picked up from WalMart for her Spyder. It sort of worked, but was definitely nothing you would want to write home about, or ever take with you on a trip. I already had the NR Half Cover and told them about the issues when trying...

ISCI Fan Can Installed and Tested - Pics Included

My ISCI Fan Can came in yesterday for my Spyder, so I took time this morning to install it. Since adding the SFB Racing Floorboards, I discovered what other ryders were talking about with right side heat cooking their foot. I bought this in hopes it would be the cure I was looking for. After...

    That Made Me Happy

I have gotten a lot of comments, and fielded a ton of questions, since buying my Spyder, but today I heard a new one and was wondering if anyone else had ever heard it. We were at a cycle accessory and clothing store and my Spyder was parked just to the side of the door. One of the guys that...

    Maggie Valley Spyder Customization Contest

When BRP posted some more details about the Maggie Valley Owners Event, they had information about this contest along with a registration form. The biggest part is you have to pick one of 3 classes to be in, best stock, best paint and/or graphics, and best overall customization. Your Spyder...

Spyder Wins Second Place - Best Street Bike

On May 1, 2011, I decided to jump on my Spyder and head to a motorcycle show I found out about on the radio. The show was held at the park in Louisville, GA, and it was my first time ever going to Louisville. It was a good 1 1/2 hour ryde to get there down country roads, so a very nice ryde...

    TricPlate Installed on my Spyder

I had been looking at this product for a long time and thought it was really cool. I finally gave in and decided I needed to have it for my Spyder. The TricPlate is a privacy license plate cover that is supposed to be used for show purposes only. It comes with a disclaimer that it is to be...

Not Going To Make Spyderfest - TricLED included

I just finished talking to Reggy on the phone a little while ago, and an executive decision was made. We will not be making the trip to Spyderfest after all. :( We have been watching the weather very closely and hoping for the best. With the threat of dangerous floods in the Ohio and...

    Back in the Saddle!

I was finally able to take my Spyder out for a ryde since injuring my ankle over 1 month ago. I had no idea how it would react after not having been ridden in so long, and was expecting some retaliation or at least complaining. However, I think it was just as happy to be running again as I was...

    FrankenHindle

Well, the experiments with the rattling heat shields on my Hindle didn't go quite the way I had planned. For some reason the bolts Doc sent me were too long for my Hindle, and I could not get them to work. I took it over to my father in laws and we worked on it for a while. We...

    A Big Thanks To Eraser

Thanks to my Spyder Lover friend Don, I now have a couple of new mods for my Spyder. :D Frist is the BRP Billet Aluminum Front Axle Nut Covers. I really didn't know how much of a difference in the looks department these would make, but I really like them now that they are installed...

    Reggy Tan - I Need a Suit!

I just finished watching the Super Bowl Half-Time Show with the Black Eyed Peas, and I think Reggy needs to make some suits like the ones the dancers were wearing. They had remote boxes on their stomachs and could switch from white to red to green. I think you need to make some that will match...

Guess who needs a new front sprocket?

My Spyder developed an issue where as I was ryding at low speed I could hear a whining noise coming from the front sprocket area. It sounded like a belt slipping on a car engine, but with the toothed belt on the Spyder I knew it couldn't be slipping. My rear belt alignment looked good, so I...

    TricLED Project Nite Lights Installed

It is very close to Christmas now and I figured our Spyders needed to get in on some of the holiday action. What better way to have a good time than to lite them up some more. :D These are the Project Nite lights from www.tricled.com . I like to call them TRON lights, but of course there...

    Rear Foot Peg Risers

While most Spyder owners that carry a passenger usually look for rear foot peg extensions, we had a different dilemma. Our 8 year old son could only touch the rear foot pegs with the tips of his toes, and this made ryding any distance uncomfortable for him. We were looking for a solution to...

    Remember TRON?

For those that remember the movie TRON, one of the best parts of it was the light cycles. These bikes were lit up in cool patterns along the sides, and left a wall of light behind them. They were used in tournaments, and if a rider was boxed in and hit a wall of light they would derezz...
