• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Time for a hiatus.

I am sorry guys and gals I thought it would never come to this, but the Spyder is gone. Nancy Kay had a major aneurysm burst in her brain which caused very delicate brain surgery. Without going into it very much, I need her more than the trike. After 65 years of riding, the garage looks kind of...

    Kind of fun!

Check my tires the other day during cold weather and they were down a little bit so I put them back up to pressure. Then the weather went from the 30s to the 70s and of course tire pressure increased. I discovered while taking kind of a fast corner that the rear tire breaks loose and the rear...

This has to be a new record!

Went into the DMV to renew my license this morning. I’ve been dreading it for months. But as I said above it’s got to be a new record. From the time I hit the door till the time I went out the same door with my new license it took a total of 17 minutes. I can’t even get a quarter pounder with...

Shifting in the neutral at stops.

I have found out long stops at red lights that once in a while my 2016 RT shifts in the neutral. It doesn’t do it all the but time, but about once per ride. Now two things are either happening. It’s shifting by itself or I am in advertently hitting the paddle while waiting for a light. The...

    Welcome to Sturgis

As I look at the weather map tonight, I noticed thunderstorms coming over Sturgis again this year. Sturgis must be a magnet for thunderstorms at this time of year as they are every year when the big event goes on. Be careful up there guys.

    Parts shortage

I just thought I’d relate and experience with my Can-Am parts guy out at the dealership today. I’ve had a seat on order for several months and now they’re saying that it won’t be shipped until August 20, which is a monthly routine. I simply ended up getting a refund. I asked the parts guy about...

    Rear tires

I’ve seen many posts about using regular car tires on the rear of a spider RT. Not being that familiar with the mechanics, are you talking about any rear tire of equal size, such as a Goodyear eagle or Bridgestone etc?

    Spare front sprocket

With all the things I’ve been hearing about front sprocket failures I decided the best thing to do would be a buy a spare and carry it in my trunk. I order one from cheap cycle parts and being very honest they said it might be several weeks or even months before I get one. In fact my order...

    New offer from AAA

I just received an offer from AAA that for $25 you can add benefits until your next renewal. I’ll say upfront they didn’t say what it’ll cost after that. They doubled the towing mileage from 100 to 200. It now includes a motel plus meals if you’re stranded and it will also pay for a rental car...

    My butt thanks you!

I know a couple of players on this wonderful forum sell the same thing so I’ll make this a general product positive review. I just received my butt pad made out of lambswool cut it 1 inch. Since it is 96° here in Lincoln Nebraska, it was a great day to unpack it and try it out. What a...

    Rear speakers for a 2016 RTSE6

A lot of months ago I went in and shut off my rear speakers because I thought they would be unnecessary. But I have been trying to go back to turning them on. If I remember correctly I went into audio, speakers, and it gave me a choice between both, front or front and rear. Now when I go back in...

Here's why all the Back orders!

I had a long talk with cheap cycle parts yesterday while ordering a back up sprocket for my RT. It mainly centered around back orders, which he stated that my sprocket will also be on. It basically comes down to this. During the Covid pandemic both Can-Am manufacturing plants had to be shut down...

Well my day started out well!

Went out to climb on Darth this morning and my boot happened to rub the left passenger armrest. When I got mounted I looked back and found the armrest bent over onto the passenger seat. I got off, grabbed it and tried to put it back into position when it fell off in my hand. Surprise number...

Quick question - can I get the white sprocket anywhere not a dealer?

Where can I obtain the white front sprocket for my 2016 RTSE6, other than a CaAm dealer. Thanks for your help, Peter.

    Spare key storage.

Maybe I’m making a simple problem more complicated. I have been looking for a place to hide a spare key for my RT. After several evaluations I finally realized that on the right side of the dash I have a blank cover that pops off. I simply wrapped the key in a plastic bag slipped it in and put...
