• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Review: 2020 Ryker 6,000 mile review

6,000 mile report, May 7 to Oct 22, 2020 (5 1/2 months) Positive 1. The Ryker is a lot of fun, whether instant acceleration from any speed or aggressive cornering. 2. Many design aspects are very practical, from exhaust layout to a bit of storage in the glovebox. 3. The driveshaft/swingarm...

Can RPMs indicate CVT belt wear???

Went to Mt Charleston this morning with Vrod friend. Did not feel cool until 7000 feet, before 8 AM. Going over Deer Creek Road, from Lee Canyon to Kyle Canyon, it was friend's turn to lead. We were at a leisurely pace and I decided to compare RPMs versus speed. Up a moderate grade, throttle...

    HowTo: Oil check suggestion

After every ride of moderate or longer distance, I check engine oil. Even Tuesday night, after 545 miles and 15+ hours...especially after that distance. I want too know it is ready to go, next ride...or have time to correct, adjust, fix whatever needs attention. I prefer post-ride inspections...

    First wash (coin-op type)

2886 miles on the clock after the Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Zion run yesterday. It was fairly clean when I left, but 545 miles of road grime was more than I wanted to tackle with a wet towel. Good opportunity to let engine cool, as a prospective Ryker owner stopped by the wash bay, while I...

    Contemplating modifying primary clutch

The primary clutch has the fixed side, next to engine. A one-way bearing over the shaft for bottom of belt contact during idling, which also permits engine braking (secondary drives primary). The moveable side (governor cup) has weighted levers to close the clutch (for engagement and for gear...

    Axle nut tools

Initially concerned about ID clearance to nut with the Klutch 40924 2 1/2" socket from Northern Tool for $21.95, polishing the ID with a 2" wire wheel resolved the clearance issues with my 2020 model.
