• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas mileage 2013 ST

I just decided to once again review my gas mileage. So rode 81.4 miles and used 2.03 gallons of premium. Seems high. My 08 was about 33 or so. I had also read that most were getting around 33-35. Anyone getting the 40+ in mileage. I'm sure of the numbers. My only concern was that the tank got...

Blue Tooth Dongle install on 2013 ST Limited

I'm a little confused on the bluetooth dongle install. When I go to the BRP page showing the dongle it shows it being installed next to the 12 volt outlet. I went to the 12 volt outlet on my Spyder and next to it is a multi pin connector. So my question is two fold; 1) do you just plug the...

2013 Spyder RT or 2014 Spyder RT

Well, its time to trade the 2009 Spyder. So when I walk into the dealer figuring he'll have a 2013 RT avaliable or maybe a 2014 on the floor. I know the price will be better for th 13 but does the 14 have enough better features to pay extra?

    Gas leak hot weather storage

I leave my 2009 Spyder in our AZ garage during the summer. We go back to MI. After we come back there is a gas leak from the bottom right sider of the Spyder. I drive for about 25 minutes and the gas leak stops. I've had all the updates, but maybe there is some kind of overflow that heats up...

2009 Spyder The Dealer wants to buy back, interesting

The dealer I purchased my Spyder from called once and then again to purchase my Spyder in Tucson, AZ. They're not looking to trade but to purchase outright. Strange I thought, Is there a shortage of used Spyders? Well, I'm going in to see what the gig is. (Funny, the gal said bring your title, I...

We left our Arizona home for part of the summer, the Spyder was as usual stored in the garage. BRP R35 Bags

I've been thinking about getting these bags, although expensive they do look pretty cool, but are they practical? In other words do they handle a lot of extra stuff like the bags on a BMW K1200? Any insight would be appreciated. The dealer quoted me a cost of $1,067 installed. Thanks

    Seat Stud Adjustment

I got a deal on the Can Am tank bag and installed it yesterday. I have noticed that the seat is now hard to close. I looked at the stud and see that it can be adjusted. Right now I have to turn the key, and press down on the seat to get it open, and its pretty hard. Anyone have the same...

    High Beams/Low Beams

I just completed my first trip with my cycling buddies. One of the first things they had noticed about the spyder on the highway is that the low beams were not very bright. They suggested that I keep my high beams on at all times. I thought this was a good idea since this had been recommended...

    GPS Bar Mount

Garmin makes a good U bolt mount for the Zumo 550. Would fit right on the handle bar.:chat: I had used it on my previous motorcycle. I was going to mount it on the throttle side where the plastic sleeve is between the throttle and the main steering. I was wondering if anyone has used this mount...

    I Did It!

Thanks to all the info I got on this forum made me feel comfortable getting a SE5 yesterday. Why I even met a spyder owner in my hood that brought his machine and went over his mods. It made buying easy and the savings account lighter. On a brighter note my wife now wants to ride with me, says...

    Spyder SE5 Shifting

Just looking for some general info. Is the SE shifting automatic like a car or do you hit the paddle shifters. Not a big deal but I can't seem to get info if it shifts without the paddles being hit or it is just automatic. Going for a test ride next week. Thanks
