• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Fuel Gauge Going Crazy

My original fuel gauge was unreadable right out of the box, it bounced around something terrible. They finally got me a replacement gauge and replaced it around 3,000 miles. That fixed my bouncing. Until recently. At about 4,000 miles it started bouncing again, not bad but noticable. The...

    Oil Filter Question

I am in the middle of an overdue oil change on my RT, the first one I"ve done, I had the 600 mile one done by the dealer. Anyway, I get the old filter out and it is sealed on the end that rests against the outside of the housing. I pulled the new one out of the box and it is identical on both...

    Insurance Rates

I got rid of my ZX14 to get my RT-S, and finally got my insurance bill yesterday. I have State Farm, a perfect driving record (except for the crash where my Spyder got totalled last year, not my fault) and perfect credit. HOLY COW!!! State Farm is charging me way more for the Spyder than they...

    Corbin Problems

My Corbin seat arrived today, and after sweating 20 pounds off and cussing the air blue I've finally got it installed. First observation is that Corbin's instructions suck, plain and simple. If it hadn't been for a few things I've read here I'd still be out there cussing at it. The...

    Air Suspension Compressor

I noticed today that the compressor for the rear suspension seems to run for 1 to 2 seconds every 10 to 15 seconds. This seems a bit excessive to me, do I need to get the dealer to check it out at the 600 mile service next week or is this normal? Thanks

    Questions/Initial Problems

I am in the process of making a list of things to be addressed at my 600 mile service next week, and have a few questions. Just above the 0 on the tachometer is the writing RPM X1000. Is this supposed to be lit like the writing on the speedometer? Anyone else have problems with the cruise...

    RT-S Info

I'm baaaack. Some may remember that about a year ago I bought a Spyder Phantom only to get it totalled out 4 days later. I didn't buy another Spyder to replace it, but I am considering one now. I've pretty much decided on the RT-S, I tend to like lots of toys. My first concern is a lack of...

    Spyder Phantom, #000177 Is Dead

Coming home today on IH-10, cruising along minding my own business running about 70 or so, all of a sudden there was a deafening CRASH and I was completely off the Spyder, hanging on with my right hand and foot. Somehow I managed to pull myself back onto the seat as I watched the car that hit me...

    Oh My Aching Butt...

I rode about 140 miles today and boy do I miss the seat on my 'Wing! This seat seems a lot like the one from my old vMax's, too rounded which creates a big pressure point in the middle of my too-big butt. Obviously a priority is to do something about this seat. What is the general feeling about...

    Newbie Intro/A Few Questions

First off I am a new Spyder owner, an 09 Phantom and I must say it's an interesting ride. It's going to take some getting used to the differences between it and a regular motorcycle. I've been riding for 31 years, and just sold a 2007 GoldWing, due to the weight and knees that no longer liked...
