• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fixed that!

Fixed my F3 so it is now 10 to 15 mph faster. Great bike, now faster since it is Slingshot Yellow. I still have the license plate holder and the raised running lights on the fenders to do. As an added bonus, the CanAm "red" on the frame now looks very good - so I am not going to paint that. Tom

    Missing something?

Just a heads-up for those of you who need something to obsess about today. I was cleaning my F3 yesterday and while wiping down the inside of a front wheel, the hubcap popped off. I put it back on, but it came off with just the slightest nudge. Checked the other one and just the slightest nudge...

    Madstad Brackets & Shield on a F3

To start please keep this in mind; I am 5'7", wear glasses, don't like to ride with a helmet, I had a Madstad setup on my 2008 GS, and I always wear in-ear headphones ( the type that seal your ears ). My F3 had a Blue Ridge shield before I replaced it with a Madstad 20". Here is what is most...

    F3 Windshield Alternatives

There has been lots of discussion on the need for another windshield option for the F3. In my postings on my First and Second impressions of the F3 ( see these links ) I felt that for a lot of F3 riders, the windshield would be their big problem. F3, First Impressions...

Trinity Site, now only open ONCE a year.

If you are looking for a New Mexico ride destination, here is one. ( I have cut & pasted the following from several different sources. ) Trinity Site On July 16, 1945 the world changed with the explosion of the first atomic bomb. The explosion took place at Trinity Site which is on the...

Following up on my first F3 impressions

After a few hundred miles: I am probably getting at least 5mpg more than the ST-S. I expect this to get better. The F3 'boot-up' to start is less than 3 seconds. A+ Night riding is great - much more light than the ST-S, better focus, gauges look very good. During the day, in bright light, the...

Picked up my F3s today, 1st thoughts.

"NICE, very nice!" Some background, I had a 2008 GS and a 2013 STS before the F3s. I tend to ride pretty aggressively and speed limits always feel to low to my throttle hand - I call my riding style "Sporty". I've been riding motorcycles since 1965. I took the demo ride twice and got a good...

    I have been riding . . . .

. . . . not paying attention. So since it is raining here, I went to the BRP Sypder site and check out some accessories and got this message. Thats OK, but the silver Spyder with the black fenders looks great. Is that something "new" or am I just out of touch? Tom

    Spyder computer virus? Probably not!

It has popped up in a few postings here that people heard or saw on TV about a car that was infected by a computer virus and it was malfunctioning. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=187150&postcount=24 http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=187155&postcount=25 Of...

Thanks for the heads-up on steering issues!

On Saturday, I put around 300 miles on my Spyder and experienced a case of the steering problems some others have mentioned. Nothing serious, but I will be taking the Spyder in and have it looked at. It happened three times, highway, straight road, 75-80 mph. The first time, I saw some road...

Same old questions, with a new twist.

We have all been there. You are stopped or parking your Spyder and you get asked; "How do you like that (Spyder)? How does it handle?" Happens all the time. But today was a first-time-Ever. Today, I was out riding (fantastic weather here in New Mexico) Stopped for ice cream in a small little...

    Spyder Service Best Practices List

A list of Shop Best Practices & Services compiled from the postings below. See post #2 for how this works. Should give you a print out of the data from the BUDS on your Spyder. Should have a trailer service. Should have a standard to measure your Spyder's performance against.

    a general tire issue

I don't usually forward "alerts" that I get, but this is an exception. The following link will take you to an ABC News Report on an issue with old and aging tires, they may look new, but have been sitting around on the shelf for years and could possibly fail. In general, some authorities have...
