• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is the 2019RTL pre-wired for heated seat option?

Hello Spyderlovers! I know there are some aftermarket options for heated seats but I'm specifically interested in whether BRP offers a heated seat up grade for my 2019RTL. If they do, I'm betting they've also pre-wired for it to some degree and that there is a pigtail of some sort in the...

Why is my 2019 RTL getting poor fuel economy

Greetings Spyderlovers! I just acquired a used, 2019 RTL from a private seller. It's in showroom perfect condition with just over 5K miles and plenty of extended warranty left. I was pleased with the deal and the test ride passed my muster so I paid the man and rode it home. That 300+ mile...

2010 RT has trouble holding a straight line

Greetings from Washougal, Washington! I'm a little past the 1 year mark and about 6,000 miles of road time with my 2010 RT SM5. One thing I've recently noticed is that she bobbles around a bit to the left and right when on a flat straightaway. It'll be just fine for 3/4 mile or so, then the...

DIY magnetic mirror mounts - much assembly required

Greetings from Washougal, WA! I started this project of DIY magnetic mirror mount (mmm for short) for myself but I ended up abandoning it and just bought the pre-made set from Lamonster. I figured there might be someone else out there who would enjoy finishing what I began so I'm offering this...

Ignorant questions about jacking up the RT

Greetings Spyderlovers! I've browsed several posts tonight about jacking up the Spyder for maintenance and most of them seem to center on the discussion of an ATV lift (or something like it) and adapting it to the Spyder. As opposed to purchasing yet another item exclusively for working on my...

    Canister-ectomy --whats the hose diameter?

Greetings from Washougal, WA! I'm gearing up to pull the tupperware for an oil change and also tackle a couple of mods while i'm in there. For the canister-ectomy, I'm working from the instructions found here. Does anyone who has performed this recall the diameter info for coupler and...

Throttle body failures - Anyone considered a class action?

Hello all, At only 8K on the odometer, my 2010 RT SM5 is throwing the dreaded P1614 code so I've been reading up on this issue here and on other forums. For as rampant as this issue appears to be on these bikes (to the tune of multiple failures within a few years of one another on the same...

Source for oval grommets on lower body panel

Hello! My used 2010RT came with some missing rubber grommets on the body panels. I gather this is something of a chronic issue that they can get lost during maintenance. One body panel disassembly video I found had the great recommendation of adding some small cable ties to help ensure that...

    Yet another motor oil question

Greetings from Washougal, Washington! I just picked up a 2010 RT - SM5 back in October 2018 that was barely used (2,700 miles). Aside from an encounter with the nanny and I not seeing eye-to-eye in some aggressive cornering, I'm loving this bike! The dealer I bought it from changed the oil...

Handlebar icon! VSS Light! Check Engine! Limp Mode! Oh my!

Ok so that was supposed to be lame reference to Wizzard of Oz "Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh my!" Yes, I experienced some drama yesterday. It was my first ride of any significance since I acquired this barely used, 2010 RT back in October of 2018. I bought her with only 2,700 miles on it and...
