• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Question on Kenda Tires

Does anyone know how Kenda marks their tires? Their is a red dot and a yellow dot on the front tires, and I'd like to know if anyone knows which dot represents the heavy or light side. I'm balancing the front tires and have located the heavy/light spots on just the rim without the tire on the...

Need info on these two items...

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has firsthand information on the following two items from Harbor Freight. I would love to save money by changing and balancing my own tires instead of paying astronomical rates to have my dealer do the job. I can buy the OEM tires from my dealer or E-Bay...

    Lift for Spyder?

I've been thinking about buying a lift for my Spyder, but I don't know which to buy. I'd like to use the lift in order to change my oil, and also to remove the wheels. I'm tired of paying $80.00 per hour labor to have my dealer change and balance the tires. I talked with the local Co-op and...

Carlo, I really hate to complain, but I'm going to express my experience with the front tires prematurely wearing of the tread on the insides of my tires. History: I purchased an 2009 SE-5 RS about mid march of 2009 In Nashville, TN. Note: after a bad experience during my 600 mile service...

When daylight savings time arrived, I reset my clock on my 2009 SE-5 - one hour ahead. But, somehow I lost my ambient temperature read-out. The display now shows RPM! Does anyone here know how I can get the temperature display back? I've checked both the owner's manual and the service manual...

PC-8 Fuse Panel and Relay Kit

I finished installing Eastern Beaver's PC-8 with 50 Amp Relay Kit last night. I mounted the fuse panel and relay under the seat (fits nicely), and the wiring harness is neatly placed and wire tied. I ran the Switching wire to one of the rear tail lights. This was an extremely easy install...

    Robobrackets by Madstad

Last night I finished installing Mark's Robobrackets with my 23.5 inch Cal-Sci windshield that I had just sitting in the garage. Been using BRP's 25 inch Ultra Touring shield which I will still use, but would prefer for Spring thru Fall. With the Robobrackets I can adjust it to a higher...

Anybody have RoboBrackets w/ BRP Ultra Touring Screen?

I have the BRP Ultra Touring 25" Windshield, and thinking of buying Madstad's RoboBrackets. Does anyone here have this set-up on their Spyder RS? If so, I'm looking for positive or negative feedback. I really like the 25" Ultra as it really decreases the wind, but I'm riding here in Tennessee...

I installed new Ultra Touring Windsheild

Recieved my new BRP Ultra Touring windshield today, and finished installing them. I took a ride on the Interstate and WOW...I'm impressed! I got the 25 inch version which is just about right for me since I have the 4 inch NMN risers. The lower vents are great at diverting wind away from my...

Ram mount for Nextar S3, help?

I was given an Nextar model S3 GPS unit which came with a suction cup type mount. Needless to say this doesn't work on the Spyder. I've searched the internet for mounts for motorcycle handlebars, but none seem to fit the Nextar S3 unit. I'm familiar with Ram mounts but I'm a real dummy with...

Can anyone reccommend a good pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves? I actually like to ride even when its raining out, and I have a good set of rain jacket and rain pants - but my gloves get soaked! I'd like something not too bulky (got to have freedom of movement and control). With the rain...
