• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much work is involved in replacing the brake switch?

Hello. I've been having problems for a long time with a stuck brake switch (2018 F3) which is getting worse. Tried spraying some brake cleaner and lube with not much success. I've checked the maintenance manual and it seems there's some work involved. The right footrest support should come...

Is there a Canisterectomy for the 1330 engine?

Is this still a thing for the 1330 engine? I've seen a couple of posts and videos about disabling the evap canister on the twin 998 engine, but nothing really for the 1330. Around 30K miles and I'll be replacing the fuel filter so I might do the canister replacement or removal while I'm there...

    Finally got Spyderpop's Bumpskid installed!

Front of the Spyder was a little beat up mostly from going too fast over speed bumps. I finally got Spyderpop's bumskid from Martin's shop (I'm located in Europe). Instalation took a bit more of effort than as per instructions as I had to dismantle the grill, grill frame and some plastics...

    Brake light switch mechanism sticking

Just noticed yesterday when I parked the F3 the brake light was on. Seems it's not the switch but rather the mechanism that is sticking sometimes. Anything I should lubricate to avoid this? Thanks.

Amsoil + oil at mid level = shudder?

Still waiting for the new front sprocket, meanwhile I've noticed a shudder at take off that I believe I had not before my recent oil change. It's not really noisy or bumpy (not sure even if I should call it shudder) just seems the throttle is not responsive for a couple of seconds and it's...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

We're just going out of lockdown here (Portugal, Western Europe), doing a little Spring maintenance and just found this... Totally aware of the problem been doing routine checks at 5000km/3100mi intervals. For stats it's a 2018 F3-S euro model with 27000km/16777mi not using any belt...

Key or no key that is the question...

Ride all year here but we're in lockdown so the Spyder is getting more time in the garage than usual. I leave it with the parking brake off (wheels choked) and plenty of fuel (not overfilling it). Also I leave the key in the ignition... Think I've read somewhere it was recommended but not sure...

What do I need for an oil change?

For the experienced ones, which part numbers and tools? Located in Europe so not kits available here, only the good old BRP dealer. Thanks!

Front pads replacement - what tools are needed?

Going on a trip next week so I might replace the front pads as on one of the sides it should be around 1.5 and 2mm (rear was done recently at the dealer). EBC's FA630HH pads are on the way. What tools should I need beside the jack?

    F3-S belt adjustment

Got a new tire and at the dealer. Mechanic was a nice guy but he just won't go into details. Everything was torqued on the feeling and when I asked him about the belt alignment I just got a "don't worry it will be right after some riding". I've stopped a few times on my way home (I'm about...

Checking oil on F3... How tricky it can be?

So got my second oil change (yearly one) at the dealer not long ago. And I think the maintenance guy kind of likes to overfill it... When I got home just check the oil level and it was above the upper marker. So I gradually pumped out about 3.4oz/100ml more or less each time (ride it a bit and...

N222, the Best road in the World

The N222 road goes along the Douro river in Portugal (Western Europe) across the vineyard fields (where the grapes of the port wine grow) and has been considered by AVIS as one of the best roads in the world (very close to the perfect ratio of 10 seconds straight by 1 turning)... Not sure if...

Ride on, should I?... Which formula and dosage?

How many are using the ride on tyre sealant on their Spyder? Which formula (car or mortocycle) and dosage? Thanks.

Activating lowbeams for the F3 (Non US and CA models)

European and Australian models are modified to comply with local general legislation. In Europe legislation will vary from country to country. Instead of customizing per country BRP adjusts the Spyder to the most restrictive laws and sells the same modified model across Europe. One of the...

    South Portugal Route (EU)

Here's a short video and some pictures of our latest trip the past month to the South region of Portugal (Europe). This a well know and historic mining area (pyrite). It has also historic moorish influences has the region was occupied until the XV century. The lovely white village by the river...

Passenger seat not fitting properly (MY2018)

Hi. Passenger seat seems to be misplaced since day one (MY2018) First I thought it may needed some kind of settling, but I frequently ride 2 up and after 6000km (3800mi) it's exactly the same. Seat is securely locked and can't be removed without unlocking. Noticed that a small spring (not...

N2, from North to South - Portugal, EU

Right after getting the Spyder I we went on this ride which crosses the country from North to South through a single road, the N2 (or National nº2). We do like to call this road "our" Route 66, but it's a lot shorter (about 738km/458mi) and probably with a lot more "twisties". We've done it on...
