• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is this why you bought it?

Good article in this morning's NY Times.... http://nyti.ms/SiR15z

    ok, gps questions

I have a 2009 rs (I guess technically, a gs). Looking to add a Zumo on my bike. I probably won't hard wire it right away. The mount options are the BRP mount or one that attaches to the round part of the bars. I really don't want to drill holes in the dash. All this stuff is freakin expensive so...

Dps, vss issues on 2009 sm5 Spyder

Finally got the dps recall done mid July. From past steering replacement experiences i figured this would be trouble. Trailered bike home from dealer, no time to ride until a couple of weeks ago. 20 miles, no problem. Got the bike out last weekend for a longer ride, 10 miles out, dash scrolls...

    6x10 trailer question

Found a 6x10 utility trailer with a 48" ramp at Tractor Supply. It's the usual 2x6 plank floor design that you see everywhere. The ramp is a full 6 feet wide so I know my Spyder will clear it width-wise with no problem. The trailer has 15" tires. The question is: will the Spyder bottom out when...

    Bummed--steering issues @ 2090 miles

It's in the lower 50's today, figured I'd ride up to the drugstore. About half way there at 45mph the steering locks up and starts pulling slightly to the left. No warnings on the dash so I don't think it is fuses. This happened 4 times in about 12 miles. A slight tug puts it back at dead center...

    Winterizing questions

I bought my Spyder in late March so I really haven't been through the winter storage cycle yet. While I hope there is still some riding time left for the year here in the midwest, I'm afraid the cold blast may be here sooner than later. Two questions-- --Once the brutal weather gets here and...

    Ride and/or Fly.

Ran across this the other day. Might be a tad unstable at low speed?

How about a poll for the steering recall?

My Spyder has about 1200 miles. It runs great; the engine is starting to loosen up, and luckily I've not had any other problems except for the belt alignment. I have not done the steering recall yet but have read some very mixed reviews about how it ultimately affects the performance of the...

    Comfort seat questions

I have to ride several miles of gravel roads everytime I leave my house. The tacky vinyl material on the stock seats holds dust, then my butt grinds it into the vinyl. The result is wear and marks that just look terrible and don't buff out, even after trying other's suggestions. Others here may...

    RPM shift points?

I don't mean for this to be a loaded question but here goes. I'm trying to figure out the rpm sweet spot to where shifting into 5th gear doesn't feel like it's bogging the engine. There is nothing I can find in the owner's manual that talks about rpm ranges for the gears. I have about 350 miles...

    Delivery today!!!

After researching the heck out of the Spyder and a lot of good advice from owners on this board a few weeks back, I took the leap of faith. My 2009 roadster red spyder will be here this afternoon. I got what I consider to be a very good deal and believe the dealership has the passion to take of...

    New buyer questions

Greetings from the midwest. I've been watching this board for a few months, trying to decide if a manual transmission Spyder might be in my future. I currently ride on 2 wheels (have an HD Sportster and few old Honda Dreams) but I live in a rural area and the gravel roads here make 2 wheels a...
