• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Leaving the fold.

I want to thank everyone for all of the help over the past year and a half. You all have been very helpful with problems I have had. This is indeed a great community with many people who are passionate about there Spyder. However, I never quite became passionate about the Can-Am. This is by no...

    Highway Peg bracket fabrication

I have been wanting to add highway pegs to my spyder but as always have trouble letting go of the money for the expensive parts. I decided I would fabricate these brackets to place highway pegs on the roadster. Here is the pattern and will work on these in the shop this week with steel.

    Today’s project.

I have an ST with no radio. I wanted a headset so I could listen to music but do have the extra cash at the moment to spend. I bought some speakers on Ebay and designed a case on a CAD program. I printed the case on my 3D printer and this is the result. Perfect fit and a great sound. Total...

Squeeking from rear wheel 2013 Spyder ST

Yesterday, at slow speeds, I noticed (for lack of better terms) a squeaking from the rear wheel. The noise was intermittent as the wheel turned. What are your thoughts. Warped rotor? Bearings that need to be greased or replaced. It should be noted that the rear tire was changed 2000 miles ago...

What do like about your Spyder

I am one month in with my 2013 Spyder ST after 40 years of 2 wheels. What is it you like about your Spyder? I have put nearly 2000 miles on the Spyder in the last 28 days. While it took a little getting used to, I am very comfortable on the bike now. When I first got the Spyder, I thought...

What year and how many miles on it.

Just curious about what year models you have or had and how many miles you got out of them. What is the most miles you have put on a Spyder? I have ridden motorcycles to 76,000 miles with no problems. Is this realistic with a Spyder? 2013 Spyder ST. 10200 miles.

Unstable ride feeling and 180 degree turn today

I posted this in the ST forum but wanted to share in the general discussion. Thanks to all who have helped me over the past week. I finally had time today to spend some time messing with the new ride. My disclaimer is that I am not professional and do not claim to be. I like to tinker with...

    ST panel removal

Does anyone have a video of removing all the panels on the 2013 ST. I have searched youtube and find plenty of Videos for the RT but nearly nothing on the ST. I am comfortable removing panels that are obvious such as front left and ride side where the fog lights are. The service panels for oil...

    The ST ride and handling.

So, I have now riden about a thousand miles this past week. I feel like I am fairly in tune with the ride and handling, but here is what I have noticed and I have questions. 1. I understand that this is different from my motorcycle and the ST is more of a sports bike type ride but I feel every...

Advice on ST (Update). I won’t go back to 2 wheels.

So, I wanted to thank everyone for the great advise and helpful comments. Here is my update. I got up early and braved 39 degree temperatures for 2 hours to get to the dealership where I had looked at the ST. I rode the machine for an hour and the bike was as smooth and clean as I could have...

    Advise on 2013 ST

I am itching to move to 3 wheels. I have been researching and have almost changed my mind about a Can Am product. I have been on two wheels for 40 years and have had no trips to the mechanic to speak of. I am looking at a 2013 ST with 9000 miles but it seems that the 2013’s have some issues...
