• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How can I open the Turn Signal & Mirror Case without breaking something? Any thoughts?

I did a search and found little information so I'll post this question. My right front turn signal is out and I'm curious about how to open the case without breaking something? I know there's tabs, but I'm not sure where they're located. Any thoughts?

Be careful Riding When it's Too Hot! Hydrate & keep cool!!

As the temperature climbed Saturday to a record 128 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley National Park, a group of motorcyclists became distressed by the extreme heat, and one of them died, a park ranger said. The motorcyclists were touring the park near Badwater Basin, a stretch of salt flats...

Lamonster Garage Parts and Accessories - Thank you!

Just a short thank you to the people at Lamonster Garage. I replaced the Gas Shock on my trunk this week. They shipped the correct part promptly along with instructions at a cost I can live with. It's gonna be a good week!;)

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

Sad to say, I put the Spyder to bed today in advance a long Wisconsin Winter. We still have some nice days for riding short term but you'd have to bundle up to make it enjoyable. My routine is rather simple. I usually spend an afternoon detailing with lots of attention to the wheels and...

Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?

A nod to Chicago for one of their best songs in my humble opinion. But here's the thing, the clock on my Spyder jumps from a 12 hour clock to 24 hours all by itself and then back again. Usually on alternating days. More of an annoyance than anything else. I have another on my wrist and another...

Here's Something You Don't See Every Day

Greetings from Wisconsin, the Badger State, the Dairy State, the State of Beer, Bratwurst and Cheese. And once in awhile we make the news for something other than High Taxes. The following clip shows the actions of our Law Enforcement and Natural Resource Officers. I give this a "Wow Factor" of...

    Your First One....

After a long winter here in Wisconsin, Spring is finally here. Just came in from the garage after reinstalling the battery in the RT. I'm getting better at that, far fewer Cuss Words than in the past. She fired right up and as soon as we reactivate the insurance, we'll be riding again. But it...

the KEY to Happiness - replacing the Spyder's ignition key!

I'm currently in the process of replacing the ignition key for my Spyder. Fortunately I have a spare so I still have my mode of three wheel transportation. A couple of weeks ago I lost my key. I told the wife that I misplaced it, but it was lost. I searched the house, garage, driveway, and no...

    FWIW; Low Fuel Light

I apologize if the subject has been covered here (it probably has) I was curious just how much gasoline was left in the tank when the low level light came on. I have a 2016 RTS and typically get somewhere in the mid 30's for mileage. So on my last fill-up I zeroed out the trip meter with a full...

    July 4th Independence Day

Here's wishing all fellow Ryders a Safe Holiday over the weekend. Whether you're on two wheels, three, or four wheels, let's be careful out there.

Well that can't be right... panel fit around the panniers?!

Thought I'd throw this out there for those more skilled/experienced than I. Here's the scenario; Took the panels off my 2016 RTS to do some cleaning underneath like dust, oil residue, etc. Put the panels back on in proper sequence but find that the last, bottom screw/fastener doesn't hold. As...

    Gimme A Brake!

Been awhile since I posted last, it's been a long, cold, winter in Wisconsin but I'm getting close to waking the Spyder up from her long winter nap. Here's my question, how can you tell when the brakes need service or replacing? I ask this because last fall I had her in for the annual oil and...

    Covid Mask Parody

Not much to smile about this summer. Riding my Spyder has been one of the highlights of getting my mind off the Pandemic and the the Riots. But if you're looking for a break from all the negative stuff, click on the link. Something to smile about...

    Your First One

Since many of us have made the transition from two wheels to three it may be interesting to know your first motorcycle. Year, make and model would be great, a picture would be even better. I googled the year and make and found this one; 1967 Bridgestone 90 My first cycle around 1970...

    Happy Easter, Spyderland

Strange times we're living in folks. Depending on where you live, no public church service, no family gatherings larger than 10, and some states are restricting travel. Let's hope the Easter Bunny makes his rounds for the little ones. I don't think the quarantine includes rabbits, do you? Here...

    Something you don't see everyday....

It's been happening since the beginning of time but it's rare to actually see it when it happens. North of us here in Wisconsin is Michigan's Upper Peninsula which borders on Lake Superior, the largest fresh water lake in the world based on surface area. The following links will show what...

    Helmet Housekeeping

Just wondering what others are doing to keep their helmet's "fresh" during the summer months. On the hot days I tend to perspire and by the end of the day my helmet liner is soaked. Am I the only one or do others have the same issue? On occasion that I won't be riding for a stretch, I will hand...
