• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Why get a motorcycle?

The best reason for getting a bike that I've ever heard goes like this: - Have you ever seen a motorcycle parked by the shrink's office? ...and that pretty much summarizes it for me. What was your reason?

    Cat delete - my thoughts

I just installed a cat delete pipe from Baldwin Iron Works on my F3-S - it came with a spring removal/installation tool and a baffle. I was reluctant to get this seemingly useless farkle, I've read all the research I could get my hands on about the exhaust back pressure, and everything that goes...

    Bright orange liquid

Coolant leak - Fixed I commuted on my F3 to work today, when I got back home I noticed droplets of bright orange liquid on the right swing arm, right under the shock. The shock does not appear to be leaking. I believe the coolant expansion tank is also on the same side. Is it coolant? Do you...

    Potholes

Yeah, we had a nasty winter, and now all roads are messed up. I'm usually pretty good at navigating around the potholes, but two days ago I went on a ryde and missed one. My front left wheel, however, found it, and I had a nasty jolt, something hit and cracked, the whole Spyder veered to the...

Is it ok to skip through gears when downshifting?

Sorry for a newbie question, but this has been bothering me: I got F3S SM6, and when I need to stop I pull in the clutch and step through the gears until 1st or neutral while pushing the brake pedal. Am I supposed to engage the clutch between gears? Mechanically it shouldn't matter since the box...

Does it really take 300 miles?

I've heard someone say it takes 300 miles to get used to the Spyder and fall in love with it if you only used to riding 2-wheelers. Before that mark you might hate it and regret the purchase. I wasn't victim to this, since I haven't owned a proper motorcycle and the only substantial experience...

    Wiring diagram

I apologize if this question has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find the answer. Where can I get the electrical wiring diagram for F3? Thanks!

    Fuel octane explained.

Before Spyders are made electric we have to deal with gasoline. It's dirty, it smells and it's way too complicated. I never liked chemistry anyway. I've seen too many erroenous threads and posts here to remain quiet, so here's everything you need to know about "Premium" vs "Regular" gas and...

Why F3 rear axle nut not secured?

After looking at other Spyder models and seeing how the rear axle nut is secured with a safety pin and a plastic cover I got concerned, because the right rear axle nut on my F3 is not secured with anything. There aren't even plastic covers. I don't care about the covers (other than they keep...

    Gas pump auto shut-off

Sorry for a newbie question here: When you fill up your Spyder - does the fuel pump auto shut-off feature work or do you need to look into the tank while pumping gas to know when to turn it off? Last time I tried to look into the tank while fueling I spilled gas all over the tank :( Thanks!

You don't know how good you have it!

There's something special about Spyders or the crowd that these machines attract. I'm a new F3-S owner. It's my first and only motorcycle, and for that I have to thank all of you. Let me explain... You see, I was interested in motorcycles for a while now, reading posts on various forums. The...

Another Spyder F3-S found a new happy owner.

I've always wanted a motorcycle. All my life. As long as I can remember. There's something about the sound of the exhaust pipes, smiles on the faces of the riders, and the promised freedom that always attracted me. You all well know how it goes - wife, kids, house, new kitchen, more kids...
