• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Got hit

I had to go into the hospital for emergency surgery on 9 May and am still not cleared to drive. The other night, one of my brothers from US Military Vets MC hitched up my trailer and we drove up to the hospital to rescue my Spyder from the hospital parking lot. Looks like I got hit on the left...

    Backing Out of Upcoming Events

Had a fantastic time at Spyderfest 2011. It was great seeing many old friends again. Unfortunately, the work I needed done to get my Spyder running properly wasn't free! It ate up my budget for both Maggie Valley and SITA so I'm going to have to cancel my plans for both. I guess it will be...

    Error Messages & Battery Drain

I have posted before about the problems I was having with my relays and getting inconsistent error messages. I've decided that it well may be due to the fact that I have too much drain on my battery. So, I'm going to arrive in Cuba on Tuesday and have the folks at Cowtown install a second...

    America's 9/11 Ride

In August, there will be an awesome ride to honor those lost on 9/11 and provide support to their families. The ride sponsored by America's 9/11 Foundation is held in August so as not to interfere with the families' personal activities held in September. It is, by far, the largest event of...

    Relay Problem

I continue to have problems with my relays on my 2009 SE5 after I shut down after riding for any length of time. When I go to restart, I get all sorts of error messages (actual message varies from start to start). I end up having to access the fuse panel and reseat the relays. I have foam in...

    Car tires on a motorcycle

Guys, here is my own personal experience of riding a motorcycle with a car tire on the rear. The caveat is that it was NOT my bike and I did NOT ride it extensively. I DID ride it thoroughly, at least enough to get more than an idea of what it would be like in a long term application. As with...

    Fuel Consumption Culprit Found

Way back when, I was having trouble with backfiring and "chugging". This was before they were offering the mod that fixed this issue. Rather than buying a Juicebox, I spoke with my dealer (who has since gone out of business) and they suggested installing a fuel pressure regulator. Since then...

I've HAD IT with my relays

Ever since I purchased my 2009 SE5 last April, I've had problems with my relays working loose. When this happens, you get all sorts of error messages (never consistent) and have to open the fuse box and reseat the relays. I have installed foam in the fuse box cover in an attempt to keep the...

    Beat the Nanny

Altonk, Yazz and I rode Route 209 from Hot Springs NC to Maggie Valley NC (great road by the way) On the way, we had to get on I40 for a short stretch which we intentionally overshot at first in order to try a "back road" which turned out to be a Dead End, so we had to turn around and go back...

    Custom Fairing

Saw an RV pulling a trailer from Wide Open Custom Plastics out of Oswego KS this afternoon so I went to their website. $750 without a stereo, $850 with stereo and speakers Nothing for the Spyder but I've sent them an e-mail to see if they'd consider making one. I'll keep everyone posted...
