• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tis the Season

There really are kind and generous people! Yesterday I was in line to check out at the grocery store. It was very crowded with people doing holiday shopping. Directly ahead of me was what looked like a mother (elderly) and middle-aged son and his wife. Ahead of them and checking out was an...

    Avoided killing or seriously injuring....

I had an experience today that shook me up and want to pass my thoughts along to my friends here. Coming home from a DDS appointment today I was traveling along a surface street here that has a 45 MPH speed limit. Very typical for my area. Going through an intersection with a solid green...

Is the BRP Contest email legit?

Today I got an email about entering a contest to win a BRP on road vehicle. As is my habit, I do not open this type of solicitation as most of them are scams. Just wondering if anyone else know if this is legitimate? Sure don't want to pass up a chance for a freebie..... Jim

    Tire Pressure Observation

I'm currently on a road trip and have been touring for 3 weeks now. Before leaving, I set my tire pressures correctly. Mid way on my trip, and at sea level, I adjusted the pressures by adding a couple of pounds. Yesterday when stopping for the night, I checked pressures and all the tires were...

    Motorcycle/golf cart insurance Info

In Arizona, as well as other states, we can get golf carts licensed for street use as a LSV (low speed vehicle). This requires, among other things proof of insurance on the golf cart. Today I was able to have my golf cart added to my motorcycle policy, with the liability limits I already on my...

Fixed the Audio Static and Whine!

Posting this because others may find my experience useful. I had a minor RPM sensitive whine in my headset. I bought a new helmet and headset because it was time to do that. The whine was unbearable in the new set-up. It is not uncommon to experience that when lights and electronics are...

    Can Am Fire

I just read a short article about a Can Am (BRP) facility in Juarez, Mexico that had a huge fire. Not a lot of specifics but it did say that it was an assembly plant for Can Am's. Don't know if Spyders and Rykers are included but this can't be good..... Jim

    Advice for trailer tire pressure

Another thread about purchasing a trailer to transport a Spyder has prompted me to ask about pressure for trailer tires. EVERY dealer and EVERY tire manufacturer says to ALWAYS pressure up to the maximum stated on the tire in order to maintain maximum load capacities. But I have a fixed load...

    Good Video

I just watched a great video that I think is worth sharing. I don't know how to attach it here. Maybe someone can help with that. It is easily found. The title is TC Bank Dream Rangers. It is short and has sub-titles but well worth the time to watch. Have a GREAT Mother's Day and stay...

    Positive things from the Pandemic

A couple of positive observations; Less air pollution. The earth's lungs are being cleansed while our cars are sitting in the garage. Barbers and hairstylists will have a tremendous increase in business when we get back to normal. There will be a lot of self-imposed haircuts that will need...

    Alternative riding plans

One of the groups I usually ride with has canceled riding for the rest of this season. Another group will continue riding with an adjusted schedule. We will continue riding but not to our "usual" lunch places. Instead, we are going to pack our own meals and ride to open-air parks where we can...

    2020 RT Trailer Hitch mis-information

I have a riding buddy who picked up his new 2020 RTL today. He has a Freedom trailer so needed a hitch installed on his new bike. At first he was told hitches for the 2020s were not yet available. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the 2020s take exactly the same hitch as...

    RT622 Trailer cost to transport

I sold my RT622 trailer last month and this is what I found about cross country transportation. The buyer lives in Virginia. Couldn't be further away. The trailer was shipped from Arizona to Virginia at a cost of $600. The companies name is HaulsBikes from Milwaukee, WI. It was a very...

    Buying/Selling a trailer

After selling my 2014RTL and now selling my RT622 trailer I want to share a little information. The bike sold locally but not the trailer. I know there are still a handful of 622 trailers for sale on this forum. My trailer was sold to a very nice gentleman who lives on the East Coast. That...
